## Description

The open-front, three-sided bolster gives your cat a cushioned place to lounge while keeping the window view clear. This large Zakkart Mellow perch hooks onto a windowsill, creating a dedicated spot for bird-watching, sunbathing, stretching out, or napping.

A hardwood base and metal tube support are designed to hold up to 40 lbs. The 24" W x 15.5" D bed offers room to curl up or stretch out, while the raised sides provide a cozy place to settle.

Choose a hook-on perch when you want to use windowsill space rather than place a cat bed on the floor. Its adjustable bracket also makes it easy to move the perch between suitable windows.

## Practical tips

Before setting it up, make sure the windowsill has a slot at least 0.5" deep and 22.5" wide for the Large size. The adjustable bracket fits windowsills up to 9" deep, and the hook is 0.08" thick. Installation is tool-free: hook the frame onto the sill slot, then position the bed for your cat. No suction cups are needed.

For a simple everyday setup, place the perch by a window where your cat can watch outdoor activity or rest in the sunlight. The front stays open for an unobstructed view, while the three-sided bolster gives your cat cushioned sides to lean against. The 40 lb capacity and reinforced hardwood-and-metal frame make this a practical lounging spot for a large cat or kittens sharing the perch.

## Why it’s worth it

The sleeve-on bed slides over the frame to hold it in place and can be removed when it needs cleaning. That means the perch combines a secure-fitting bed with a straightforward way to refresh the fabric. Machine wash it in cold water and tumble dry on low heat.

The open-front design suits cats who like to watch what is happening outside, while the bolstered sides offer a more enclosed feel than a flat window shelf. Compared with a floor-standing cat bed, this hook-on option puts the lounging area at the window and keeps the floor space available for other uses. It makes sense if your cat gravitates toward windows and your sill has the required slot.

## Worth noting

The Large bed measures 24" W x 15.5" D, with product dimensions of 24" x 15.5" x 6". Its combination of wood, metal, and polyester brings together a supportive frame and a soft-touch resting surface. Assembly instructions are provided, and the removable bed can be taken off for washing.

The mounting fit is the key practical detail: the sill needs a slot at least 22.5" wide and 0.5" deep, and the adjustable bracket accommodates sills up to 9" deep. Once mounted, the perch gives your cat a window-side lounge without relying on suction cups.

## Is it worth it?

For a cat that enjoys looking out the window, the Mellow perch turns a suitable sill into a comfortable, dedicated lounging spot. Its open view, bolstered sides, machine-washable bed, and hardwood-and-metal support make it useful for both quiet naps and daily window watching. Choose the Large size when its 24" x 15.5" lounging area suits your cat and the windowsill meets the mounting requirements.
