## Description

Indoor cats that need an engaging way to play can follow the moving laser dot from the YVE LIFE M05. Its motion sensor starts play automatically, while dual motors create changing laser paths. Three speed modes let you vary the pace, and the adjustable head directs the dot onto the floor or a wall.

## Worth noting
Unlike a handheld laser pointer that requires someone to guide each session, the M05 is designed to start when its sensor detects movement. It runs for 15 minutes per activation and can be triggered once every two hours, with a detection range of 0–13.1 ft. The random-trajectory movement gives cats a shifting target to chase, while fast, slow, and mixed modes offer different play speeds.

The laser head can be adjusted vertically within a 50° range, and it automatically oscillates horizontally within a 60° range. This makes it possible to direct the play area toward the floor or a wall. For the recommended setup, place the toy on a table 8–35 inches high. The compact plastic unit measures 3.43 x 3.42 x 6.3 inches, making it easy to position in an indoor play area.

Buyer feedback often highlights how the moving laser keeps cats interested and active, particularly younger cats with energy to burn. Experiences with motion detection and battery life are mixed, so the most useful setup is one that gives the sensor a clear view of your cat and the laser a suitable surface to move across.

## Practical tips
Charge the included 1200 mAh rechargeable battery using a 5V/1A charger. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours, and the toy can also be used while plugged in. Set it on a stable surface and adjust the laser head so the moving dot reaches a clear section of floor or wall. The included USB cable and user guide support setup and charging.

## Best use cases
The M05 suits indoor play when you want a moving target without continuously operating a handheld pointer. Use the slower setting for a gentler pace or switch among the available modes to change the movement pattern. Its motion activation is useful for a room where a cat can approach the toy and start a session, while the adjustable projection angle helps adapt the play area to the space.

It can also complement interactive play with a person: first use the pointer to draw a cat’s attention, then let the automatic movement provide a changing target. For a more hands-on style of play, a manually guided toy offers direct control, the M05 is designed for motion-triggered, self-directed laser sessions instead.

## What to clarify
**How long does one play session last?** Each motion-triggered session runs for 15 minutes. The sensor can activate once every two hours, so it is intended for periodic play rather than continuous operation.

**Can I change the speed and direction of the laser?** Choose fast, slow, or mixed speed. You can also adjust the head vertically by up to 50°, while its automatic horizontal movement spans 60°.

**Can it be used while charging?** Yes. The toy supports plugged-in use. For charging, use a 5V/1A charger and the included USB cable.

## Buying verdict
For cat owners looking to add automatic indoor activity, the YVE LIFE M05 combines motion-triggered sessions, three speed choices, and an adjustable laser head in a compact unit. Its changing target and flexible projection angle make it a practical fit for setting up a dedicated play spot at home.
