Everyday compatibility

The USB-C receiver is designed for compatible USB-C phones and tablets, including supported iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. For a PC or laptop, the manufacturer specifies a USB-C port. The receiver plugs into the device, and the pre-paired microphones connect automatically, making it straightforward to start recording without an app-based setup.

A useful detail for longer recording sessions: the receiver supports pass-through charging. With it connected to your phone, you can attach a charging cable to the receiver’s USB-C port to charge the phone while recording. Is that helpful when filming away from a desk? It can keep the phone and microphone setup practical for a longer take.

Tips for day-to-day use

Clip a microphone onto clothing near the speaker when recording a vlog, interview, or online lesson. The 5 g design is small enough to carry easily, while the charging case provides a place to store and recharge the microphones between sessions. Each microphone offers up to 6 hours of working time, and the set is rated for up to 33 hours total with the case.

Choose among the three noise-cancellation modes to suit the surroundings. For example, a street interview or shopping-mall livestream may call for a different setting than a quiet indoor recording. The microphone uses omnidirectional pickup, and its stated transmission distance reaches up to 131 ft (40 m), useful when the speaker needs to move within a larger filming space.

Compared with relying on a phone’s built-in microphone, a clip-on lavalier places the audio pickup at the speaker’s clothing. That makes this format a practical choice for creators who want a wearable microphone setup for talking on camera. The two-microphone set also provides a second microphone for recording another speaker.

When it makes sense

Worth considering if you record video on a compatible USB-C device and want a compact wireless setup for vlogging, YouTube videos, interviews, or online classes. The included receiver, two microphones, charging case, and three noise-cancellation modes bring the key recording pieces together, while pass-through charging supports phone use during a session. It’s a focused choice for creators who want to capture speech with a clip-on microphone and move around while recording.
