## Description

Move with confidence during practice and contact sports. These Youper Boys youth padded sliding shorts use moisture wicking four way stretch fabric to help reduce sweat and keep kids comfortable while they run, crouch, and slide. With a soft protective athletic cup system included, they add protection that feels gentler than traditional hard cups 🛡️

The main idea is simple, kids should focus on the game, not on gear that feels uncomfortable. The fabric uses a softer hand feel to support fewer skin irritation moments, which can help with day to day comfort during long sessions. And because the sliding pad is designed to protect during abrasion, the shorts are built for the physical moments that come with baseball, football, and other contact activities ⚾️🏈

## Key features

These sliding shorts are made for action and contact sports where impacts and abrasion can happen fast. The high performance fabric is constructed with moisture wicking four way stretch that moves with your body while helping eliminate sweat, so the fit stays comfortable as intensity increases. You also get padded protection that supports the thighs and glutes during sliding, which is a key area for many athletes. The result is protective coverage without the bulky feel that can distract from performance.

Inside the design, you’ll find a cup pocket so you can insert the included cup for added protection. This setup is meant to provide max protection during play while keeping the cup in the right place. The shorts also include an elite sponge sliding pad intended to help protect against abrasion, especially when athletes are sliding. For contact sports where kids may resist wearing hard equipment, the soft foam approach is designed to feel more comfortable, helping reduce fidgeting.

A key comfort detail is the soft and light protective cup construction. The cup is lined with a layer of soft foam and moisture wicking fabric to help keep your parts comfortable and cool. It’s intended for boys who refuse a hard athletic cup due to discomfort, offering a more wearable alternative. It also uses a lightweight design so attention can stay on the game rather than adjusting gear.

You’ll also appreciate the fit features that support secure movement. There is an elastic stretch waistband for easy, snug wear during activity. Quilted sponge side panels add extra protection while keeping the shorts lightweight. This combination helps kids move naturally through drills and live action, whether they are practicing slides or getting low during a play.

## Pros

A strong advantage of these sliding shorts is the comfort first approach, featuring moisture wicking four way stretch plus a softer hand feel to help reduce skin irritation and rash risk. That matters when kids are training repeatedly, sweating through drills, and spending time sliding or crouching. The fabric is built to move with the body, which can improve how natural the shorts feel during fast movements.

Protection is handled in a softer way than many hard cup setups. The cup system uses soft foam lining and a lightweight cup, so it is designed to offer protection while avoiding the discomfort that can cause kids to dislike traditional hard cups. The sliding pad is meant to protect against abrasion during action, supporting areas like the thigh and glutes when sliding.

There is also a practical convenience angle, the shorts include a cup pocket and the cup is included, so the setup is straightforward for parents and coaches. The elastic stretch waistband helps keep a snug fit during play, which reduces shifting while running, crouching, and sliding. And if your athlete participates in multiple sports, these shorts can be used across baseball, softball, football, lacrosse, and even combat sports like MMA and boxing for practice needs.

## Who it’s for

You’ll appreciate these shorts if you want protective sliding gear for boys that focuses on comfort as much as coverage. It makes sense if your athlete plays sports with sliding and frequent lower body contact, where abrasion and impact can happen and kids need gear that they will actually keep on 🧩.

It might not be a great match if your priority is a rigid hard shell style cup experience, since this product is designed for those who prefer a softer foam feel instead. If you are selecting based on the waist size, choose the range that fits best, X Small 20 to 22 in through X Large 28 to 30 in, to support an easy snug fit throughout games and training.
