## Description

## Technical overview
When replacing a pet fountain filter, some owners want to refresh the water-filtering layers and the pump pre-filter together. This YIOLHAJK set includes 16 replacement filters and 16 sponges for compatible VEKEN fountains, combining a three-stage filter with a sponge to help catch debris before it reaches the pump.

The filter layers are designed for different tasks: fine cotton traps hair, sediment, and floating debris, activated carbon reduces chlorine, unpleasant taste, and odors, and ion-exchange resin softens tap water and reduces heavy metals such as lead and copper. The separate sponge wraps around the pump to capture hair and debris. That added pre-filter helps maintain steady water flow and supports pump protection during everyday use.

- Set: 16 filters and 16 pre-filter sponges
- Filtration: Cotton, activated carbon, and ion-exchange resin
- Replacement interval: Every 2–4 weeks, more often for multiple pets, slower water flow, or hard tap water

Customers highlight the fit with VEKEN fountains and the filtration performance, and some also appreciate the value of having replacement filters and sponges together. These are buyer impressions, the practical benefit of the set is that both components can be refreshed as part of routine fountain care.

## Compatibility
These replacement filters are designed for VEKEN automatic pet fountains with capacities of 67oz/2L, 95oz/2.8L, and 135oz/4L. They also work with most standard pet water dispensers that use square-shaped filters. Match the fountain’s filter shape and capacity to the listed compatibility before installing, especially when choosing filters for a different dispenser.

For a household comparing replacement media, the three-stage design combines debris capture, activated-carbon filtration, and ion exchange in one filter. The included pump sponges add a separate barrier for pet hair and floating debris, making this set useful for routine upkeep rather than replacing only the main filter.

## How to use it
Before installing a new filter, soak it in clean water for 2 minutes and rinse it under running water. Wrap a sponge around the fountain pump, then place the rinsed filter in the fountain’s filter slot. No tools are required. Replace the filter and sponge every 2–4 weeks as part of regular maintenance. Homes with multiple pets, hard tap water, or a noticeable drop in water flow may need more frequent changes.

For example, when refreshing a fountain used daily by cats or small dogs, install a freshly rinsed filter and a new pump sponge together. The filter handles the specified filtration stages, while the sponge catches hair and debris before they enter the pump. Keeping both parts on a regular replacement schedule makes the set practical for ongoing indoor fountain care.

## Should you buy it?
Worth considering if you use a compatible VEKEN fountain and want a supply of replacement filters with matching pump sponges. The set suits cat and small-dog households that value a three-stage filter and an additional barrier for hair and floating debris. Its clearest advantage is having both fountain-care components ready for routine replacement, with compatibility across the listed 2L, 2.8L, and 4L fountain sizes.
