## Description

When a wound needs a broad dressing that stays in place, an adhesive-bordered pad offers a different approach from loose gauze that must be secured separately. These YHOVID island dressings combine a non-stick center with a soft, non-woven adhesive border, creating one pad for covering and protecting a wound.

Each individually wrapped dressing measures 4" x 10", including the center pad and adhesive border. The pack contains 18 dressings for organizing a home first aid kit or keeping supplies ready for everyday wound care.

## What to know

The center pad is designed to absorb excess moisture while the breathable dressing allows oxygen and moisture vapor to pass through. Its non-stick surface helps make removal gentler than a pad that adheres directly to the wound, while the surrounding adhesive border holds the dressing in place. The border is made of soft non-woven fabric, and the full 4" x 10" size provides a generous area of coverage. Choose a dressing whose center pad is an appropriate size for the wound being covered.

Individual wrapping keeps each pad separately packaged until needed, making it easier to store the dressings in a first aid kit or day bag. This is not a waterproof dressing, so account for water exposure when planning its use.

## How to use it

Peel away the backing film and apply the adhesive dressing directly over the wound, positioning the non-stick center pad over the area to be covered. Smooth the adhesive border onto clean, dry surrounding skin so the pad lies flat. The integrated border makes this a straightforward format when you want the absorbent pad and its securing edge together, rather than assembling a covering from gauze and separate tape.

## Best use cases

These bordered gauze pads are intended for everyday cuts and scrapes, minor burns, small wounds, surgical incisions, and suture protection. Their broad format can be useful when a small adhesive strip would not provide enough coverage, while the absorbent center handles excess wound moisture and the breathable construction supports airflow around the covered area. What makes a dressing practical for a home kit or day bag? Individual wrapping, a ready-to-apply adhesive edge, and a center pad in a substantial 4" x 10" overall size make these easy to keep on hand for common first aid needs.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the YHOVID island dressing pack if you want 18 individually wrapped, self-adhesive wound dressings with a non-stick center and an integrated border. It suits people assembling everyday first aid supplies for cuts, scrapes, minor burns, or incision coverage, especially when a broad pad is more useful than loose gauze secured separately. The breathable, absorbent center and adhesive edge bring the main parts of wound coverage together in a single dressing.
