## Description

This soft chenille braided kitchen mat combines cushioning and spill protection for everyday cooking tasks. It works as a non slip washable kitchen runner rug that absorbs oil and water quickly, helping to keep floors drier while you stand at the sink or stove. The gray 17"x47" size fits most kitchen sinks and prep areas and offers a comfortable surface for long periods of standing.

## Key Points

The braided chenille surface feels plush underfoot and reduces pressure on feet and joints during meal prep. The mat's texture also helps trap crumbs and light debris, so cleanup becomes quicker after cooking. The non skid rubber backing increases grip on tile, hardwood and linoleum, so the mat stays in place while you work.

Cleaning is straightforward because the rug is machine washable and can be rinsed by hand as needed. According to the manufacturer, the woven construction is designed for repeated washing without losing much of its structure. One nuance to consider is that heavy, embedded stains from very oily spills may require a prewash soak to come out fully.

The backing is designed to be slip resistant, but performance can vary on highly polished surfaces. If your floor is extremely smooth or newly waxed, occasional readjustment may be necessary to maintain ideal traction. The mat is not advertised as waterproof, so large standing pools of water should be removed promptly.

## Usage Recommendations

Place the runner directly in front of sinks or along the prep counter to combine cushioning with moisture control. For best non slip performance, ensure the floor beneath is clean and dry before laying the rug. If you plan to use it in high-traffic zones, rotate the mat occasionally to distribute wear evenly and maintain the braided texture.

For maintenance, shake out loose crumbs before washing and use a gentle cycle with mild detergent when machine laundering. Allow the mat to air dry flat to preserve shape and backing adhesion. Consider using it with a rug pad if you prefer extra thickness or if your floor is extremely uneven.

This mat may last several years with regular care according to the manufacturer, and it can help keep kitchen floors cleaner by capturing splashes and residues during cooking.
