## Compatibility

The YR05 is designed for most American standard doors and works with an existing deadbolt. Its installation uses a screwdriver, making it a practical choice when you want to add keypad and fingerprint entry as part of a door-hardware update. Check that your door setup matches the lock’s intended standard-door fit before installation.

Bluetooth app control is for use within Bluetooth range. For remote control over Wi-Fi, a separate gateway is required. This gives you a choice between straightforward local app access and adding a gateway for remote use.

## Best use cases

This lock suits front, back, interior, and exterior doors where different household members may prefer different ways to enter. Fingerprint access offers a key-free option, while keypad codes, key fobs, and physical keys provide alternatives. That range can be useful for everyday arrivals when one person prefers a code and another wants to carry a key fob or use a traditional key.

The keypad, app, and physical access options also make it easier to choose a method for different routines rather than relying on a single entry method. Set up and manage the lock through the app, and use the one-touch button or app to lock the door. Auto-lock adds another available way to secure it. Buyers often praise the installation process, fingerprint access, and choice of unlocking methods, feedback on auto-locking is mixed, so it’s worth choosing the locking method that suits your routine.

## What to clarify

**Can the lock be installed with basic tools?** The product is described as easy to install with a screwdriver. Its included components include the front and back plates, hardware assembly, and latch.

**Can I unlock it without a phone?** Yes. You can use a fingerprint, code, key fob, or physical key as alternatives to app access.

**How does remote access work?** The lock connects locally through Bluetooth. Remote control requires a separate Wi-Fi gateway.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the Yamiry YR05 if you want an electronic door lock that combines fingerprint and code entry with app, key fob, and physical-key access. Its aluminum construction, compatibility with most American standard doors, and ability to work with an existing deadbolt make it a useful fit for updating everyday entry while keeping several unlocking methods available.
