## Description

Photographers who need to move camera files to a phone, tablet, or computer can use the Xoqby XC5U-W as a single reader for several card formats. Its USB-C connector is aimed at newer devices, and a detachable adapter provides a USB connection for compatible older computers.

The reader combines SD, microSD, and Memory Stick support with two USB-A ports. That mix is useful when a transfer involves a memory card and USB accessories rather than a card reader alone.

It is a compact, plug-and-play style accessory intended for file access and transfers. Customer feedback is generally positive about its versatility and portability, though reports on whether it connects reliably are mixed.

## Key specifications

The listed formats cover common camera SD cards and microSD cards, while the Memory Stick slot adds another option for compatible media. The product information also describes reading and writing cards and using the USB ports alongside a card. A basic single-format reader has fewer connection options, this model is more relevant when you want card access plus USB-A ports in one accessory. The stated transfer rate is a product specification, not a guarantee of the speed you will see with every card or host device.

## Who it’s for
This reader is aimed at people transferring photos or videos from a digital camera, dash camera, or trail camera to a USB-C phone, tablet, or computer. It is listed for devices including iPhone 15–17, USB-C iPads, Android devices, and USB-C laptops. The detachable USB adapter can also serve computers with a USB port. It makes sense if your devices and cards match the supported connections and formats.

For iPhone and iPad file access, the product instructions describe using the Files app to view and copy compatible files. Some files may need a separate app to open, so the reader itself does not guarantee that every file type can be viewed. The manufacturer specifically says it does not work with iPhone 5–14 or iPads that lack USB-C, confirm the port on your device before choosing it.

Customer comments often praise the reader’s usefulness, portability, and ability to work across phones and laptops. Connectivity feedback is mixed, however, with some buyers reporting trouble connecting to a phone or computer. That makes checking the device’s port and card format especially relevant, rather than assuming the broad compatibility list guarantees a connection in every setup.

## Included in the package
The product is described as a card reader with a detachable USB-C-to-USB adapter. Its dual USB-A ports are built into the reader. No additional cards or other accessories are specified.

## Practical questions
**Can it transfer camera photos to a phone?** It is designed to read supported memory cards on compatible USB-C phones. The product instructions describe copying files through the Files app on iOS 13 or later.

**Can it connect to a computer with a USB port?** The detachable adapter is intended to let the USB-C reader connect to a USB port. Customer reports on connectivity are mixed, so compatibility is not assured for every device.

**Does it support microSD as well as SD?** Yes. The listed card formats include SD, microSD, and Memory Stick. Check that your card is one of these formats before relying on it for a transfer.

## When it makes sense
Choose the Xoqby XC5U-W when you want one compact reader for SD, microSD, and Memory Stick cards, with USB-A ports and an adapter for USB connections. It suits a mixed-device workflow where photos need to move from a camera card to a compatible phone, tablet, or computer. Better avoided if your device lacks USB-C and you do not have a suitable USB connection, or if you need a card format that is not listed.
