## Description

## Quick overview
A compact keyboard can keep more room open on your desk, while a screen-equipped setup adds controls and visual customization. The Womier DUO87 brings both ideas together in a wired 75% mechanical keyboard with a detachable oversized touchscreen.

Dock the screen to use its touch controls, or remove it to use it as a standalone GIF or photo frame. With the screen detached, the hot-swappable board returns to a classic 75%/TKL layout. The USB-C wired connection keeps the setup cable-connected for gaming, work, and everyday typing.

What if one keyboard could also give your setup a customizable visual display? QMK/VIA support, RGB lighting, and linear POM switches make the DUO87 adaptable for both play and productivity.

## Everyday use
The compact layout leaves more desktop space available for a mouse, notebook, or other essentials. For gaming, the wired connection offers a consistent connection, for work, the detachable screen can bring touch controls and a customizable display into the same setup. Its cable is detachable, so it can be removed for storage or replaced with a compatible cable.

The linear POM switches come pre-lubricated, and the gasket mount with a five-layer filling structure is designed to soften the typing feel and reduce hollow echoes. That combination suits everyday typing as well as longer sessions at a game or work desk. RGB backlighting supports 16.8 million colors, giving you room to create lighting that fits your setup or activity.

Customization goes beyond lighting. VIA lets you remap keys, record macros, create multiple layers, and save custom profiles for different tasks. The hot-swappable PCB supports 3-pin and 5-pin switches, so you can change switches without replacing the keyboard. PBT keycaps complete the beige design and provide a durable-feeling surface for frequent use.

## Who it’s for
The DUO87 is suited to gamers, programmers, and creators who want a compact wired keyboard with room to personalize both its controls and appearance. Its detachable screen is particularly useful for a desk setup where touch controls or a GIF/photo display are welcome, while the board can return to its traditional layout when you want the screen off the keyboard.

If you prefer a straightforward compact keyboard without an integrated display, a conventional layout may better match that preference. The DUO87 takes a more customizable approach, combining the display with programmable controls and switch swapping. It is listed for Windows and Mac use, with PC compatibility and a QWERTY layout.

## Questions before you buy
**Can the touchscreen be removed?** Yes. Dock it for touch controls, or remove it and use it as a standalone GIF or photo frame. With the display off the board, the keyboard returns to a classic 75%/TKL layout.

**Can I customize the keys and lighting?** VIA support allows key remapping, macro recording, multiple layers, and custom profiles. RGB lighting can also be customized with 16.8 million colors.

**Can I replace the switches?** Yes. The hot-swappable PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, allowing you to change compatible switches without replacing the keyboard.

## Is it worth it?
Choose the Womier DUO87 if you want more than a compact typing layout: its detachable touchscreen adds a flexible display, while VIA customization, hot-swappable switches, pre-lubricated linear POM switches, and RGB lighting let you tailor the keyboard to your desk and daily tasks. It brings those options together in a wired format for gaming and work.
