## Description

During recovery from surgery, an incision, or a hot spot, a dog may need a barrier that helps prevent licking and scratching. The WinWeal M recovery cone pairs a transparent PVC outer layer with soft mesh inside, giving your dog a protective collar designed to preserve visibility and cushion the neck.

An adjustable drawstring and hook-and-loop closure help tailor the fit, while an elastic loop can connect the cone to your dog’s regular collar. Its reflective strips add visibility in low-light conditions, and the waterproof outer surface wipes clean after everyday messes.

## Technical overview

The two-layer construction combines a soft mesh interior with a transparent PVC exterior. The mesh provides a cushioned contact surface around the neck, while the clear outer layer helps your dog see around the cone during daily routines. The cone is designed to help block access to irritated areas and healing incisions without making the collar itself opaque.

- Size: M
- Neck girth: 13.4–15.2 inches
- Depth: 9.6 inches
- Materials: Mesh and PVC
- Closure: Adjustable drawstring and hook-and-loop
- Additional details: Reflective strips, elastic band for attachment to a regular collar

The adjustable closure is useful when a fixed-size collar does not offer the fit you need. For comparison, a conventional rigid, single-layer cone takes a simpler approach, this design adds soft mesh at the neck and a transparent outer panel for visibility. The waterproof surface can be wiped with a damp cloth, making it practical around food, water, or drool.

## Practical tips

Measure your dog’s neck and head before choosing the size. The head should not be longer than the cone’s 9.6-inch depth, and the stated neck girth range is 13.4–15.2 inches. Adjust the drawstring and hook-and-loop closure for a secure fit, then thread the elastic band through your dog’s regular collar to help keep the cone in position.

After unpacking, lay the cone flat so it can relax into shape. When removing it, move the hook-and-loop tab toward your dog’s chin and peel it apart gently rather than pulling it off abruptly. Customer feedback often highlights the soft feel, clear visibility, and secure fit, with some owners noting that their dogs could eat and drink comfortably while wearing it.

## What’s included

The package includes one dog recovery cone. Its intended use is to help prevent self-inflicted harm during recovery from injuries or post-surgical procedures, so it can serve as a protective barrier at home while your dog heals.

## Is it worth it?

The WinWeal M is a practical choice for dog owners seeking a recovery collar that combines coverage with a softer neck contact point. Its transparent PVC helps maintain a view of the surroundings, while breathable mesh, adjustable fastening, and the collar-attachment loop support everyday wear. The wipe-clean surface and reflective strips add useful details for routine care and low-light visibility. If your dog needs help keeping away from an incision or irritated skin, this design brings protection, adjustability, and visibility together in one recovery cone.
