It focuses feeding at multiple times with a controllable duration, and it uses a durable, corrosion-resistant build to stand up to outdoor conditions. ## How it works and what it solves It features a digital timer that can be set for 1–30 seconds of feed, with up to 4 available feeding times. The design ensures 360-degree distribution of feed within a 30-foot range, helping pattern wildlife at your selected feeding station. The centrifugal mechanism drops the spinner plate during a cycle and reseals afterward, providing a controlled release and reducing spillage when the unit is idle. This combination aims to offer predictable feeding windows while minimizing access by varmints when not actively dispensing. ## What stands out Durability is a clear emphasis: a powder-coated, galvanized steel enclosure plus a galvanized spinner plate are built to resist corrosion and extend outdoor use. The heavy-duty mounting bracket and recessed spinner plate contribute to the overall reliability of the system, particularly in environments where varmints are a concern. ## Pros - Customizable feeding schedule with 4 time options and 1–30 second durations. - 360-degree feed distribution within a 30-foot range. - Varmin-t-proof design helps keep feed available for deer while limiting access by unintended animals when not active. - Durable construction suited for outdoor use, with corrosion-resistant materials. ## Cons / Limitations - As with any powered feeder, performance depends on battery integrity and weather conditions, if conditions are extreme, you may need to verify the unit’s resilience over time. - The 30-foot range, while adequate for many setups, may be insufficient for larger spacing needs or very open environments. - Specific installation compatibility details aren’t provided, so you’ll want to confirm mounting and funnel alignment during setup. ## Who it’s for This kit is a fit for hunters who want a programmable, durable feeder with a focus on deer feeding within a moderate radius and a low-maintenance design. If you value a controlled, repeatable feed cycle and a rugged build that stands up to field use, this unit aligns with those needs. ## Who it’s not for If you require longer feeding ranges, more aggressive varmint deterrence, or larger multi-zone setups, you may find this model limited. It also may not be ideal if you need more granular feed-rate control beyond 1–30 seconds per cycle. ## When it makes sense to buy Consider this kit if you’re establishing a deer feeding station with a mid-range feeder footprint, want a dependable 4-time-per-day cycle, and value a sturdy, weather-resistant PCU with straightforward settings. ## When to skip it If your priority is a higher or more flexible feed range, or you need a more aggressive varmint defense strategy, you may want to explore options with extended reach or enhanced deterrent features. ## What to check before buying - Confirm your installation setup supports a 2-inch drop funnel and the mounting bracket provided. - Plan your feeding times to maximize deer use while minimizing waste, ensure your battery source meets the 6V requirement and can sustain cycles. - Evaluate the feed site layout to ensure the 30-foot distribution radius aligns with your patrol and observation needs. ## Practical usage example Imagine a quiet clearing at dawn: you set the Evolution PCU for 4 daily feed times, each lasting 10 seconds, and you position the feeder so feed is distributed evenly around a 360-degree arc. The deer approach within 30 feet, feeding in a predictable pattern. Once the cycle ends, the spinner plate seals, limiting waste and keeping non-target animals at bay until the next window. ## FAQ - How many feed times can you program? You can select up to 4 available feed times. - What’s the maximum feed range? Up to 30 feet in a 360-degree distribution pattern. - Is it protected against varmints when not in use? Yes, the design is described as varmint-proof with a recessed, self-sealing spinner plate. ## Decision point Is it worth it? Worth considering if your goal is a durable, programmable feeder with a defined 4-time schedule and a 30-foot feeding radius, built to deter varmints when idle. If your needs include a longer range or heavier-duty deterrence, you may want to compare other options. Overall, this kit offers a practical balance of control and rugged construction for mid-range hunting setups. ## Images ![WILDGAME Innovations Evolution 6V Digital Feeder PCU Kit — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/cOpFxOlax4yTs_HnzGAD8MOdsxQ7Y0A6Pd3j2ke0rEP-6sy6EYj4zKuUuTEZKi4gGZbvmBaoS3UK0HUK9dbHQ_ClyRMygbc893Zbfh2z2A0BAO_r0mljz0ArOw.jpg) ![WILDGAME Innovations Evolution 6V Digital Feeder PCU Kit — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/akQssr_xyWUbAd5cpaXdGou5CNDMgnHx7Qg__teenYANYVnfVAKfiLTaWMq8YzuJBA9bgGFocDIfJU2U791E4qbvb8_J9pBcXVTdQjOEoFLYGmlsO9S20rAhyw.jpg) ![WILDGAME Innovations Evolution 6V Digital Feeder PCU Kit — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/nDWxEzzjFHLcHdDfHaUdOtPHALpUGWC3qbzVVJJdc9ZPoFmI9buRH_6dUh4JIS-RqOYUmq7d90ERm4TyyxrDiI4aIoUOVwgkVNP2JvHnuIcUsYgUwbYeVG3bpQ.jpg)
