Its food-grade, lead-free housing and NSF 42/372 certifications make the material details easy to assess when choosing a replacement. The compact cartridge measures 2.6" D x 2.6" W x 12" H.

## Tips for day-to-day use

After installation, run water through the dispenser for five minutes at 0.5 gpm, about 2.5 gallons, to clear the system and help prevent sputtering. The included month-install stickers can help you keep track of when the cartridge went in. What does the carbon block bring to everyday use? It targets chlorine and the taste and odor associated with it, making the filter relevant for refrigerator-dispensed drinking water.

Buyers highlight the straightforward installation and the taste of water after fitting the filter. Some also appreciate it as an alternative to brand-name replacement cartridges. These are customer impressions, while the listed compatibility references and filtration details provide practical points to check for your refrigerator.
