## Description

If you need a replacement for a Samsung refrigerator that uses the DA97-17376B or HAF-QIN filter, the Waterdrop WD-F45 is sold as a two-pack. It is designed for specific compatible filter numbers and refrigerator models, rather than as a universal replacement. The listing describes tool-free installation and includes stickers for tracking filter changes. Buyer feedback is generally positive about fit and installation, but reports on leakage and filter life are mixed.

## What you’ll notice day to day

This filter is intended to reduce chlorine, taste and odor, and suspended particles while retaining beneficial minerals, according to the product information. That makes it relevant for households looking to improve the taste of refrigerator-dispensed water without replacing the appliance or changing to a separate countertop filtration setup. The filter uses a coconut-shell carbon block, a material identified in the listing as part of its filtration design, the product also lists NSF 42 and NSF 372 certification.

Buyers commonly describe the filter as fitting their Samsung refrigerators and being straightforward to install. Some also report liking the water’s taste. However, feedback is divided on both service life and leaks: some buyers say a filter lasts around 6–8 months, while others report about 2 months, and leakage experiences range from no issues to flooding. Those accounts are perceptions, not a reliable service-life guarantee, so the product’s stated replacement guidance and your own installation should remain the reference.

## Quick overview

- Name: Waterdrop WD-F45 Replacement Filter Set
- Type: Refrigerator water filter replacement
- Pack: 2 filters
- Compatibility references: Samsung DA97-17376B, DA97-08006C, HAF-QIN, HAF-QIN/EXP, and other listed replacement references
- Certification: NSF 42 and NSF 372
- Dimensions: 4.88"D x 2.55"W x 7.95"H
- Weight: 1.3 pounds
- What’s included: Two replacement filters, month-install stickers, and a user manual

It’s a great fit if your refrigerator uses one of the listed filter numbers and you want a spare on hand. You may want to skip it if you need a filter for a different reference, compatibility is specific, so match the number on your current filter or check your refrigerator model against the listed models before ordering. The manufacturer describes installation as tool-free, but the reports of occasional leaks make careful installation important.

## Maintenance

The product information gives a replacement interval of 316 gallons or 6 months, depending on water conditions, and includes month-install stickers to help track when a filter was fitted. Treat that interval as the stated guidance, not a promise that every household will get the same lifespan. Buyers’ reports vary, which reinforces the value of recording the installation date and following the guidance for your water conditions.

## Buying verdict

The WD-F45 makes sense as a two-filter alternative to buying the named replacement references individually, provided the fit matches your refrigerator. Its stated filtration aims, certifications, tool-free installation, and included tracking stickers cover the practical basics for a routine refrigerator-filter swap. The tradeoff is uncertainty in buyer-reported longevity and leak experiences, if those concerns matter most, compare the specific replacement options available for your exact refrigerator before choosing. Within these limits, it is a practical candidate when compatibility is confirmed and a two-pack suits your replacement needs.
