Waterdrop WD-15UA Under Sink Water Filter with Direct-Faucet Connection

Fill a glass or prep water for cooking right at your kitchen faucet with the Waterdrop WD-15UA. This under-sink system filters municipal tap water and connects directly to the faucet, keeping the setup tucked beneath the sink.

Its multistage filtration is designed to reduce lead, chlorine, PFOA/PFOS, sediment, and other listed contaminants. NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certifications add clearly defined standards to consider when choosing a home water filter.

The system is made for cold water and offers a practical alternative to filtering water in a separate pitcher. Its direct connection makes filtered water available at the sink for everyday drinking and cooking.

How it fits

The WD-15UA is designed for municipal cold-water lines beneath a sink. It connects to the faucet using push-to-connect fittings, with a 3/8-inch hose for standard 3/8-inch feed valves and a converter fitting for 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch lines. The package also includes hoses, mounting screws, and Teflon tape. This makes it a useful fit for a kitchen where you want filtration at the tap rather than a pitcher that needs filling and storage.

Use it with cold water only, it is not intended for hot water or well water. For a typical kitchen routine, filtered water can be drawn directly when filling a drinking glass, a pot for cooking, or a container for other household needs.

Why it’s worth it

The system is designed to reduce chlorine, lead, PFOA/PFOS, heavy metals, chemical impurities, sediment, and other large particles. IAPMO certification against NSF/ANSI 42 covers chlorine, taste, and odor reduction, while certification against NSF/ANSI 372 addresses lead content in product materials. The filtration approach is activated carbon, and the system operates using mechanical water pressure, with no separate power source listed.

A 0.75 gpm tested full-flow rate at 60 psi supports drawing water at the sink, while the replaceable filter is designed for a service life of up to 24 months with municipal water. Buyers often highlight the straightforward installation and ease of use, along with improvements in taste. Feedback on water flow is mixed, so individual reports vary. The replaceable WD-RF15 filter is the compatible replacement model.
