Waterdrop Pitcher Water Filter Replacement 4-Pack

Households looking to replace a PUR pitcher or dispenser filter without buying the PUR-branded cartridge may find this Waterdrop four-pack worth a closer look. It is listed as compatible with several PUR and PUR PLUS models, and each filter is rated for up to 60 gallons. The design uses coconut shell activated carbon and ion-exchange resin, with claims of reducing chlorine, sediment, taste, and odor. That gives you a clear reason to consider it for everyday drinking water, though the specific contaminants and test results are not detailed here.

Technical details

The package contains four replacement filters. Waterdrop describes a multistage filtration design with a pre-filter layer made from coconut shell activated carbon and ion-exchange resin. Its stated capacity is up to 60 gallons, and the brand says this lifespan is 50% longer than that of other products. Treat that as a claimed capacity rather than a set number of weeks or months: how quickly a filter reaches its limit depends on how much water your household runs through it.

The product listing says third-party laboratory testing found reductions in more than 100 contaminants, including chlorine and sediment, as well as taste and odor. Since it does not name every contaminant or provide specific test results here, shoppers who need confirmation about a particular substance should look for documentation that addresses it directly. Waterdrop is an independent brand and is not affiliated with or sponsored by PUR.

Compatibility

The filters are listed as replacements for PUR CRF-950Z, PPF951K, and PPF900Z cartridges, and as compatible with PUR and PUR PLUS pitchers and dispensers. Named models include PPT700W, CR-1100C, CR-6000C, PPT711W, PPT711, PPT710W, PPT111W, PPT111R, DS1811Z, CR1100CV3, PPT700, CR1111WLCR, and PDI4000ZAM. Because the product is a third-party replacement, matching the model number matters more than relying on a general resemblance between cartridges. A solid pick if your pitcher or dispenser appears in the compatibility list, it is not a universal filter for every water pitcher.

Usage tips

The manufacturer describes installation as quick, with a top designed to make the filter easier to handle and an installation time of three seconds. Follow the instructions for your pitcher or dispenser and seat the replacement securely before using it. From the way it is set up, the main convenience is having four cartridges ready when the current one reaches its rated capacity, rather than needing to source a replacement each time.

For example, if your household fills a pitcher throughout the day, a four-pack lets you keep the next cartridge on hand instead of waiting until the existing one needs changing. Keep track of use against the stated 60-gallon capacity, the listing does not give a calendar-based replacement schedule. Not the best choice if your appliance is not one of the listed compatible models or if you need independently verified details for a specific contaminant.

Questions before you buy

Does this replace a PUR PPF900Z filter? Yes. PPF900Z is one of the replacement models named in the listing, along with CRF-950Z and PPF951K.

What does the filter claim to reduce? Waterdrop says its multistage filter reduces more than 100 contaminants, with chlorine, sediment, taste, and odor among the examples provided. The listing does not specify the full set.

How many filters come in the package? The product is sold as a four-pack. Each filter is described as lasting up to 60 gallons, not for a stated number of days or months.

Is it worth it?

This replacement makes the most sense when you have a listed PUR or PUR PLUS pitcher or dispenser and want four cartridges using activated carbon and ion-exchange resin. The 60-gallon rating and claimed contaminant reduction give you useful comparison points, but they do not answer every question about filtration performance or replacement timing. Choose it if the model match and stated capacity fit your needs, choose a different route if you require a PUR-branded cartridge, have an unlisted appliance, or need test documentation for a specific contaminant.
