Waretary 36x30in /90 x 76 cm -Grey Cat Litter Mat, Double-Layer EVA
Product description
For cat owners trying to keep litter from spreading beyond the box, this Waretary mat pairs a large 36"x30" footprint with a double-layer design. Its honeycomb top lets litter fall into the layer below, where it can be collected instead of staying on your cat’s paws or scattering across the floor.
The gray EVA mat is soft underfoot and has a waterproof bottom layer. It is designed to work with clumping, crystal, and pellet litter.
Tips for day-to-day use
Place the mat under or in front of the litter box so cats step onto it as they leave. The large footprint can suit a spacious litter-box area, including setups where a smaller mat would leave more exposed floor. The top layer lifts from one connected edge, letting you pour trapped litter back into the box or discard it. For routine cleaning, the mat can be rinsed under a sink or shower and air-dried.
The waterproof bottom is intended to help protect the floor, but the outer nylon border may absorb urine if a cat urinates heavily around the mat. The product guidance recommends puppy pads for very messy cats and checking the mat regularly to help avoid floor damage. That distinction matters if you need urine containment, not just litter pickup.
Why it’s worth it
What sets this apart from a basic flat mat? The two layers are designed to catch loose litter in the lower section, so you can empty that material without sweeping or vacuuming the entire surrounding area every time. In buyer feedback, people commonly appreciate its litter-catching performance, roomy coverage, and easier cleanup. Reports about durability and how quickly it lies flat are mixed, however, some find it sturdy and flat, while others describe it as flimsy or slow to settle after unpacking.
It’s a great fit if your main goal is to collect tracked litter around a large box and have a mat that can be rinsed clean. A simpler single-layer mat may suit buyers who want a basic surface, while this design makes more sense if separating litter for disposal or reuse is useful. The mat is shipped folded, the manufacturer suggests weighting or gently warming the raised folds and allowing time for it to lie flat.

Questions before you buy
Can the collected litter be reused? The top layer lifts so you can tip the trapped litter back into the litter box or dispose of it.
How do you clean the mat? Rinse it under a sink or shower, then let it air-dry. The liftable top also makes it easier to empty loose litter between washes.
Will it contain urine as well as litter? The bottom layer is waterproof, but the nylon perimeter may absorb excess urine. For cats that make a significant mess, the product guidance recommends using puppy pads and checking the mat regularly.
Should you buy it?
Choose this mat if you want broad coverage and a two-layer way to collect litter around the box, especially when regular sweeping or vacuuming is part of the current routine. Buyer comments suggest that its size and cleanup convenience are appealing, but experiences with durability and flattening vary. You may want to skip it if you need a mat designed to handle heavy urine mess without extra protection, the perimeter is not described as waterproof.
