## Description

Corded or cordless operation lets the Wahl 79434 fit your haircutting routine: use it without a cord for room to move, or plug it in when you want to keep cutting. Its rechargeable battery provides up to 60 minutes of cordless run time, while stainless-steel, self-sharpening blades are designed for sustained precision and easy removal for cleaning.

Twelve attachment guards, ranging from 1/16 inch to 1 inch, give you options for maintaining different hair lengths and styles at home. The kit also includes grooming accessories to support setup, cleanup, and storage.

## Who it’s for
This kit suits people who want one clipper for at-home haircuts and routine trimming, with the flexibility to work cord-free or plugged in. The guards make it easier to choose a length for an all-over cut or to maintain a familiar style between barber visits. It can also be used to trim longer beards with practice, for shaping a beard, Wahl recommends using a dedicated trimmer.

If your priority is moving freely around the head while cutting, cordless use offers that flexibility. If you prefer to keep the clipper connected to power while you work, its corded option supports that approach too. The choice is built into the same tool rather than requiring separate clippers for each setup.

## What stands out
The removable stainless-steel blades combine self-sharpening construction with straightforward cleaning. After use, detach the blades for cleaning and let them dry completely before reattaching them. The clipper itself is not waterproof, so keep rinsing to the detachable blades rather than the body of the unit.

The 12 guards provide a practical range of cutting lengths, while the included scissors, comb, blade guard, hard case, clipper oil, cleaning cloth, and two cleaning brushes help organize the haircutting routine and blade care. Together, these accessories make the set useful for keeping haircutting tools and supplies in one place.

Customer feedback is mixed on cutting closeness and battery experience: some buyers praise the cut and cordless convenience, while others say the cut is not as close as expected or report shorter battery life. Some also raise durability concerns. These are varied customer experiences, not a substitute for the product’s stated features.

## The essentials
The rechargeable clipper offers up to 60 minutes of cordless run time and can also be used plugged in. Its 12 attachment guards span 1/16 inch to 1 inch. Stainless-steel blades are self-sharpening and removable for cleaning. The kit includes scissors, a comb, a blade guard, a hard case, clipper oil, a cleaning cloth, and two cleaning brushes.

For battery care, Wahl recommends fully charging the unit at least every six months. When using the clipper cord-free, charge it fully for cordless operation. Clean and dry detached blades thoroughly before putting them back on the clipper.

## Is it worth it?
For home haircuts, this kit brings together adjustable guard lengths, removable self-sharpening blades, and the choice of cordless or plugged-in use. That combination is especially useful when you want to maintain a regular haircut at home and keep the tools for cutting and cleanup together. Choose it for flexible haircutting and trimming, with a guard range that supports different lengths and a hard case for storing the set between sessions.
