VUWEZ 12-Inch Hanging Bird Bath Tray, Chocolate PP Plastic with 18.5-Inch Chain

At 12 inches wide, this chocolate-colored VUWEZ bird bath is a hanging polypropylene tray with a 2.4-inch depth and an 18.5-inch chain. Its shallow, open format gives birds access to water or food while keeping the setup off the ground, and the color offers a subtle alternative to a more decorative freestanding bath.

The tray is intended for outdoor spots such as a garden, patio, backyard, or deck. It can be hung from a suitable hook or tree branch, the hanging point and available clearance will shape where it works best.

Worth noting

The bowl is made from PP plastic, described as BPA-free, weatherproof, rust-proof, and easy to clean and refill. Unlike a metal bath, the tray itself will not rust, and its plastic construction keeps the design simple. The included metal chain has a black anti-rust treatment. The listed dimensions give a clearer sense of scale than the product name alone: the tray is 12 inches across and 2.4 inches deep, with an 18.5-inch chain.

Buyer feedback is generally favorable about birds using the tray, its appearance, and its sturdiness. Some buyers also say it holds water well. Hanging feedback is mixed, though: some find it easy to install and level, while others report that it does not hang straight. That is worth considering if a level bowl is especially important for your setup, the surface it hangs from and the way the chain settles may matter in practice.

How it fits

This is a suspended tray rather than a ground-level basin or a fixed pedestal bath. That makes it relevant when you want to place water or food above the ground, such as from a branch or a hook in a patio area. The 18.5-inch chain provides the hanging connection, but the product details do not specify a separate mounting hook, so plan around a suitable hanging point.

Its broad, shallow shape is intended to let birds drink or bathe, and it can also be used as a feeder tray. For a straightforward outdoor setup, it offers more flexibility in placement than a bath that must sit on a flat surface. Buyers also mention using it with solar fountains, but no fountain is included or specified as part of this product. If adding one is part of your plan, the tray’s 12-inch width is the relevant measurement to compare with the fountain’s footprint.

Who it’s for

Worth considering if you want a plastic bird bath that can hang in a garden or patio and can serve for water or food. It may suit someone who prefers a simple tray over a larger freestanding fixture, or who wants to choose the height and location around an existing branch or hook. Buyers praise its backyard appearance and report that birds use it, though those experiences are not a guarantee of how wildlife will respond in every setting.

You may want to skip it if you need a ground-standing bath or require a hanging setup that is guaranteed to sit level. The buyer feedback on hanging is not unanimous, and the listed product details do not describe an adjustable leveling mechanism. For anyone choosing between this and a more fixed bath, the key tradeoff is flexible hanging placement versus a stable, supported base.

Final verdict

The VUWEZ tray makes sense for a buyer looking for a modest-size hanging bird bath that can also hold food, with PP construction and a treated metal chain. Its 12-inch width, shallow 2.4-inch bowl, and 18.5-inch chain help define what it is: an uncomplicated suspended option for an outdoor space, not a complete fountain or a freestanding bath. Choose it when hanging placement is useful and you have a suitable support, look at a supported design instead if level positioning is your priority.
