## Description

Choosing a replacement remote is easier when it’s made for the Apple TV models you use rather than a broad range of devices. The VIVCASE remote is compatible with Apple TV HD and 4K (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation) models listed below, with Bluetooth control for navigating without pointing it at the TV.

Its built-in rechargeable battery and USB-C charging offer an alternative to replacing disposable batteries.

## Tech summary
- Type: Button-control remote for one device
- Compatibility: Apple TV HD and 4K (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation): A1625, A1842, A2169, A2737, and A2843
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, control does not require line of sight
- Maximum range: 40 feet
- Battery: Built-in 200mAh rechargeable battery, rated for up to 6 months per charge
- Charging: USB-C, charging cable and adapter are sold separately
- Voice control: Siri and voice control are not supported

Bluetooth is useful when the remote isn’t aimed directly at the device, while the button layout provides straightforward control for everyday navigation. The remote is designed for one device, making it a focused replacement choice rather than a multi-device universal controller.

## How to use it
To pair the remote, press and hold the Back (<) and Volume Up (+) buttons together for 5 seconds. Once connected, use the buttons to navigate Apple TV and control compatible TV functions. The remote does not support Siri or voice commands, so navigation is handled through its buttons.

For TV volume, HDMI-CEC support allows volume control to work automatically. If your TV doesn’t support HDMI-CEC, hold TV Power and Volume Up (+) for 5 seconds. When the volume responds, press the center Select button to save the setting. If pairing the volume control doesn’t work at first, repeat the setup steps. The rechargeable battery can be topped up through the USB-C port, the charging cable and adapter are sold separately.

## Who it’s for
This remote suits Apple TV HD and 4K owners looking to replace a lost or damaged controller while keeping a dedicated remote for their streaming device. It makes sense if your Apple TV is one of the listed models and you prefer Bluetooth operation, button-based navigation, and a built-in rechargeable battery. For someone choosing between a dedicated replacement and a universal remote, the key distinction is the single-device design: it keeps the purchase focused on Apple TV control rather than offering control for several devices.

## When it makes sense
Consider this VIVCASE remote for a living-room setup where you want to navigate Apple TV without needing to point the remote directly at it. The rechargeable battery is another practical fit for regular use, since it can be charged through USB-C instead of relying on disposable batteries. Before pairing, identify your Apple TV model from the compatible list: A1625, A1842, A2169, A2737, or A2843. With the correct model and a button-driven control style, it provides a straightforward replacement for Apple TV HD and 4K navigation.
