## Description

A dog sweater can be a simple layer for cool-weather walks, or it can make harness access and getting dressed easier. The VIVAGLORY dog fleece vest in XL is designed around the latter: fleece warmth, hook-and-loop closures, and a zipper opening on the back for a leash, harness, or collar.

Its pink, lightweight design is listed for spring and fall. The stated XL chest range is 31–37 inches, so sizing is the key decision before choosing this variant.

## Tech summary
- Size: XL
- Chest: 31–37 inches
- Neck: 11.02 inches
- Color: Pink
- Material: Fleece
- Closure: Hook and loop at the neck and belly
- Back opening: Two-way zipper for leash, harness, or collar access
- Features: Windproof, water resistant, reflective detail

## Getting the most from it
The two-point hook-and-loop closure is intended to go around the neck and belly rather than over the dog’s head or legs. That may be useful for dogs that resist pull-on clothing, and the back zipper gives you access for leash attachment without removing the vest. A guard between the zipper pull and the dog’s body is described as helping reduce contact and caught fur.

The fleece is described as double-layered and lightweight, with a cut intended to allow natural movement. That makes it a practical layer for everyday warmth in spring or fall, or under a winter coat when an extra layer is needed. The reflective detail is on the zipper area, it may help with visibility in low light, but the listing does not describe the vest as a substitute for dedicated visibility gear. The product is listed as water resistant, not waterproof.

Care information is inconsistent: one specification says hand wash only, while the feature details describe machine washing on a gentle cycle. Check the garment’s care label before washing rather than assuming either instruction applies to your vest.

## Who it’s for
You’ll appreciate it if you want a fleece layer that leaves a route for a harness or leash and fastens without pulling clothing over your dog’s head. In buyer feedback, people often mention softness, warmth, and ease of putting it on, including over harnesses. Some also report a good fit on larger dogs, but those comments do not replace checking the stated chest range against your dog’s measurements.

The closure deserves a little consideration: buyers have mixed experiences, with some finding the hook-and-loop fastening secure and others reporting that it can separate from the fabric. Better avoided if you need a garment specifically described as waterproof, this one is listed as water resistant. If your priority is a more basic pull-on fleece, the accessible closures and leash opening may matter less than the fit and layering needs.

## Before you decide
**What chest size is the XL intended for?** The listed chest range is 31–37 inches. Measure your dog’s chest and compare it with that range before selecting this size.

**Can a leash or harness be used with the vest on?** The two-way zipper on the back is designed to provide access for a leash, harness, or collar without taking the sweater off.

**Is it intended for winter wear?** It is described for spring and fall and can be worn as a base layer under a winter coat. The listing does not specify it as a standalone winter coat.

## Buying verdict
This vest makes most sense when you want lightweight fleece warmth with a fastening that avoids a pull-over fit and a back opening for leash access. Its sizing information is specific enough to guide an XL decision, but the mixed reports about the closure and conflicting washing instructions are worth weighing. Choose it for a measured fit and mild-season layering, rather than as a waterproof coat or a guaranteed solution for every dog’s fit preferences.
