Vital Essentials 9101 Freeze-Dried Cat Food, Beef & Chicken Mini Patties

Freeze-dried raw beef and chicken give these soft mini patties a meat-forward aroma and a flexible serving format. Made with 99% beef, chicken, organs, and bone, they offer a complete and balanced meal for cats at all life stages. Serve them whole, crumble them, or add water to adjust the texture.

Key features

These grain-free patties combine beef, chicken, organs, and bone in a limited-ingredient recipe. The freeze-dried format keeps each patty ready to serve, while the soft texture makes it easy to break portions into smaller pieces or crumble them over another food. That flexibility is useful when you want to offer a complete meal one day and add variety to a familiar bowl another day.

Use the patties as a complete meal or as a topper or mixer for dry or wet cat food. Their beef-and-chicken flavor and natural meat aroma can make mealtime more appealing for cats that prefer animal-based foods. The recipe is made without grains, artificial colors, or artificial flavors, and is intended for cats of all life stages.

Buyer feedback is mixed: some customers say their cats enjoy the food, while others report that their cats would not eat it. Experiences with digestibility also vary, so a gradual introduction can help you see how it fits your cat’s routine.

Practical tips

The mini patties offer a simple way to portion a meal or add a smaller amount as a topper. Break or crumble them directly into the bowl, or rehydrate with water when you want a softer, moisture-rich texture. Adjusting the texture can also help you serve the food alongside a cat’s usual wet or dry food.

When introducing it, start with a small amount and transition gradually over 5–7 days. This gives your cat time to adjust to a new food. For households with multiple cats, the patties can be portioned individually and prepared in different ways to suit each cat’s mealtime preference.

Usage tips

For a complete meal, serve the patties as your cat’s food. To introduce raw nutrition into an established routine, crumble a portion over familiar wet or dry food and increase gradually as appropriate. Add water to rehydrate the food and create a softer consistency, it can also be served as-is. Follow the feeding directions on the product packaging for portion guidance.
