## Description

This walnut butcher block from Virginia Boys Kitchens measures 20 x 15 inches and serves as both a functional cutting surface and an attractive serving tray. The sustainably sourced American black walnut develops a deep chocolate-brown patina after initial oiling, making it suitable for everyday food prep and for presenting cheeses, charcuterie, or hors d'oeuvres at gatherings. 🍽️

## Key Points

The board's straight-grained walnut is soft enough to be gentle on knife edges, which helps preserve blade sharpness during regular chopping and slicing. Machined juice grooves run around the perimeter to catch excess liquids when cutting meats, fruits, or tomatoes, helping to keep countertops cleaner. Each piece ships unfinished so you can finish it with the food-safe oil or wax you prefer, allowing slight personalization of color and sheen. The manufacturer states that the wood is responsibly sourced and kiln-dried before finishing to reduce the risk of warping or cracking.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Virginia Boys Kitchens Made in USA Walnut Cutting Board**
- Dimensions: - 20 x 15 inches
- Material: - American black walnut, sustainably sourced
- Finish: - Ships unfinished for user-applied oil or wax
- Design features: - Reversible block with machined juice groove

## Benefits

Walnut's natural density gives this board substantial weight and stability on the countertop, so it stays put during use and feels solid under the knife. The darker tone that appears after oiling brings a warm, handcrafted look to kitchen decor and can complement both modern and traditional settings. Because it arrives unfinished, you control the maintenance approach and the final appearance. Note that newly made boards may continue to settle slightly as they acclimate, according to the manufacturer.

## Usage Recommendations

For routine cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately to avoid prolonged exposure to water. Periodically rub a food-safe mineral oil or butcher block wax into the surface to maintain moisture balance and enhance the chocolate tone. Avoid soaking or placing the board in a dishwasher, as high heat and excessive moisture may lead to splitting over time. If used as a serving tray, place a non-slip mat beneath it on smooth surfaces to prevent sliding. 🧼🌿

The product includes a satisfaction guarantee with a refund policy from the seller if you are not fully satisfied. Consider that because the board is made from natural hardwood, color and grain will vary between pieces, which contributes to its unique character.
