vilicert Kids Video Walkie Talkies with Voice Changer, 11 Channels, Purple

For kids ages 3–12 who want more than a voice-only toy, these vilicert walkie-talkies add a video screen for face-to-face play. They come as a purple pair, with two units included.

A simple press-to-talk design and 11 channels are intended to keep setup manageable for children. The listed range figures vary across the product details, so treat the stated distance as guidance rather than a guarantee for every setting.

The units are described as rechargeable, but the specifications also list a required 9V battery as included. That mismatch is worth resolving in the included manual before you plan around how they charge or power on.

What you’ll notice day to day

The video feature sets this set apart from basic audio-only walkie-talkies: children can see one another during pretend play, hide-and-seek in the backyard, or conversations between rooms. Four voice effects—original, child, robot, and alien—and video filters add options for role-play. The lightweight design is described as easy for kids to hold, and the included lanyards give them a way to carry the units during play.

The stated maximum talking range is 1,000 feet, another part of the product description gives 100M for indoor or neighborhood conditions and 400M in open outdoor areas. Those are different claims, and actual communication distance can depend on the setting. Buyers describe the video and sound positively and say the range works well for indoor and backyard play, though those reports don’t establish a fixed distance for every home or yard.

Compared with a simpler pair of audio radios, the video screen and effects make this more focused on playful face-to-face interaction. It suits you if video is part of the fun you want for kids’ room-to-room or backyard games. It may not suit you if you need a water-resistant radio: the listed water-resistance level is not water resistant.

What to know

The set includes two video walkie-talkies, two Type-C cables, two lanyards, and a user manual. The listed color is purple, and the product information specifies 11 channels. Buyers also praise the picture and sound, and some say the rechargeable battery stays charged for a good amount of time. Durability feedback is mixed: some buyers are satisfied, while others report that a unit broke after a day. Opinions on the compact size are mixed as well, so the listed lightweight design may not settle whether the units feel right in a particular child’s hands.

The power details deserve attention before purchase. One specification says a 9V battery is required and included, while the feature description says the units have a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and mentions Type-C charging. Since those statements don’t align, use the included manual to clarify the intended power setup rather than assuming both descriptions refer to the same arrangement.

Usage tips

For play around the house or yard, choose a channel and use the press-to-talk controls to keep conversations straightforward. The product is not water resistant, so keep it away from wet play and rain. The listed range claims differ by setting, for a game that depends on staying in contact, plan around the actual space where the children will use the radios. Keep the cables and lanyards with the set so they are available when needed.

Final verdict

These are best considered a video-centered toy for shared imaginative play, rather than a basic radio set: the screen, voice effects, filters, and two included units offer more ways for children to interact. The buyer feedback on picture, sound, and everyday indoor or backyard use is encouraging, but mixed durability comments and conflicting power information temper the case. They make sense when video interaction is the feature you want, if straightforward audio communication is enough, a simpler walkie-talkie avoids paying attention to features that may not matter for your use.
