## Description

Dual-side air intake and 900 CFM suction help this 36-inch VIKIO HOME wall mount range hood capture cooking grease, steam, and odors. Its drop-down filter and 22-inch depth extend coverage toward front burners, while three fan speeds let you select airflow for tasks ranging from simmering to frying.

Choose ducted or ductless installation to suit your kitchen layout. Gesture and touch controls, four cooktop lights, a memory function, and a three-minute delayed shut-off add convenient ways to manage ventilation while cooking and after the meal is done.

## Strengths

The drop-down filter helps gather smoke and grease before they spread beyond the cooking area. Combined with dual-side air intake, the design is suited to kitchens where several burners are in use or cooking produces noticeable steam and odors. The 22-inch depth reaches toward front burners, making the hood’s coverage useful across a broad cooktop area.

Three fan speeds provide a choice of airflow for different cooking tasks. Use a setting suited to simmering or boiling, then select a stronger speed for frying or stir-frying. Gesture sensing offers a hands-free way to control the fan, while touch controls provide another option. The fan operates at a stated noise level as low as 2.5 sones.

## Key features

This wall-mounted hood supports both ducted and ductless installation. For ductless use, an activated carbon filter is included, providing an option for kitchens without external venting. The choice between venting configurations makes it practical to match the hood to the available kitchen setup.

Four GU10 lights illuminate the cooktop, helping you see pans and food more clearly when the kitchen is dim. The memory function returns to your last settings when the hood is restarted, and the three-minute delayed shut-off keeps ventilation running briefly after cooking to address residual fumes.

At 36 inches wide, the hood is designed for a cooktop installation where wall-mounted coverage is preferred. Its stainless steel finish and adjustable design suit a range of kitchen arrangements. If the priority is hands-free operation and flexible ventilation, this combines those features in one hood, a simpler approach may suit cooks who only need basic fan controls and a single venting setup.

## Care & maintenance

The hood has three removable stainless steel filters that are dishwasher-safe, so routine filter cleaning can be handled as part of regular kitchen upkeep. Removable filters also make it easier to access them for cleaning rather than relying on frequent disposable replacements. Follow the dishwasher’s care guidance when washing the filters, and reinstall them after cleaning before operating the hood.

## Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want a wall-mounted hood with strong stated airflow, front-burner reach, and controls that accommodate hands-free use. The choice of ducted or ductless installation supports different kitchen ventilation needs, while the lights, washable filters, memory function, and delayed shut-off add practical support around everyday cooking. For frequent frying, stir-frying, or other cooking that creates grease and steam, its combination of wide coverage and adjustable fan speeds is the central reason to consider it.
