## Description

For indoor mouse control without chemical bait, the Victor M393SSR offers a reusable snap-trap format in a six-trap pack. Each trap has a large trigger pedal and a built-in bait trough. Its kill bar closes when the pedal is activated, so this is a catch-and-kill option, not a live-catch trap. The traps are manual and made of plastic.

## Tips for day-to-day use

The one-click setting mechanism is intended to make setup straightforward, while the bait trough helps keep bait in place. The manufacturer suggests peanut butter or other bait. Set traps where you have noticed mouse activity or along a wall, rather than treating the pack as a substitute for identifying likely travel paths.

After a catch, the manufacturer describes a spring action for removing the rodent without touching it, followed by resetting the trap for reuse. That may appeal if you would rather reuse a snap trap than replace a disposable one after each use. The product is described as usable around children and pets when used as directed, but that is not a reason to leave a set trap within reach, placement and handling still matter.

## Pros

The main practical draw is the combination of a one-click setting method, a built-in bait trough, and a larger trigger pedal. The pack includes six traps, which lets you place them in more than one area where activity has been noticed. It is also a chemical-free alternative to poison-based rodent control, though it still uses a high-impact kill bar and should be handled accordingly.

Buyer feedback is positive about ease of baiting, setting, cleaning, and reuse. Reports on results are mixed: some buyers say the traps caught mice, while others describe missed catches or bait being taken without a trigger. Durability is also inconsistent, with some reporting long use and others saying traps broke sooner. That variation matters if you need a dependable result from every placement.

## What to clarify

**Is this a live-catch trap?** No. The product uses a high-impact kill bar and is described as a quick-kill snap trap.

**What bait can be used?** The manufacturer mentions peanut butter or other bait, held in the built-in trough. No specific amount is stated.

**Where should it be placed?** The manufacturer suggests locations with signs of rodent activity or along walls where mice typically travel. Keep placement and handling consistent with the product’s directions, especially in homes with children or pets.

## When it makes sense

You’ll appreciate it if you want several reusable, manual traps for indoor mouse control and prefer a baited snap mechanism over chemical control. The larger pedal and simple setting method are useful features to consider, but buyer reports do not point to uniform catch results or durability. You may want to skip it if you need a live-capture method, or if inconsistent trigger sensitivity would be a dealbreaker. Choose it for the reusable six-trap setup, not on the assumption that every trap will catch a mouse on the first placement.
