This grinder is designed for Milwaukee 18V/M18 lithium-ion batteries, so it can work with a battery platform you already use for compatible tools. The battery and charger are not included, have a compatible battery available to operate it. The product listing also describes an 11-wheel selection for cutting, grinding, and polishing, giving you options for different metalworking tasks.

## Everyday use
Use the variable-speed control to match the grinder’s pace to the job. Higher settings are intended for cutting and rough grinding, while lower settings suit finer sanding and work with special materials. For general sanding and finishing, the middle settings offer another useful range. That flexibility makes one tool adaptable to tasks such as cutting metal, removing rust, polishing metal, or refining a surface.

The brushless motor reaches up to 8,500 RPM. A three-position auxiliary handle gives you a choice of grip positions and can be set up for right- or left-handed use, helping you hold the tool steadily as you guide it. The wrench is stored inside the side handle, keeping it close when you need to change a wheel. For a change, press and hold the spindle-lock button and use the wrench to loosen or tighten the wheel.

A soft-start feature and power-failure protection are built in. The grinder is designed to stop within 1.5 seconds after the power switch is released. Its lock switch is intended to help prevent an unintended restart after the battery runs out, while the three-dimensional vents support heat dissipation and help keep dust from entering the tool’s interior.

Customer feedback highlights the adjustable handle, variable speed, and perceived power and build. Some buyers also mention using a grinder for tasks such as sharpening lawn mower blades, results depend on the wheel and the job. If you’re choosing between a fixed-speed cordless grinder and one with more control over its operating pace, this model’s six settings make it easier to select a speed suited to the task.

## Is it worth it?
