UNCO Tree Felling Wedges, 4-Pack, 5.5-Inch and 8-Inch Sizes

The UNCO set includes four plastic tree-felling wedges in 5.5-inch and 8-inch sizes. Made from impact-resistant ABS, they feature serrated edges to help maintain grip as a wedge is driven into wood. A storage bag keeps the set together between jobs. The two sizes give you options for felling, bucking, and splitting firewood.

What to know

This pack includes two small wedges and two large wedges. Their serrated edges are designed to help keep them from slipping out during use, while the ABS plastic construction is made to handle forceful hammering. Together, these features provide practical support when you need to position a wedge in a log or during tree work.

The included carry bag makes it easier to transport the wedges to an outdoor work area and store them together afterward. Instead of choosing a single-size wedge, this set gives you two sizes for different tasks and working positions. That range can be useful when the same kit needs to serve more than one kind of timber job.

Quick sizing guide

The set pairs 5.5-inch and 8-inch wedges, with two of each size. Having both on hand lets you select a wedge based on the task and the space available around the wood. The smaller size offers a more compact option, the larger size provides a longer wedge to choose when that format better suits the job. The set is intended for tree felling and wood splitting, including bucking and firewood preparation.

Everyday use

For an outdoor wood-cutting task, keep the wedges organized in the storage bag and choose the size that fits the work at hand. The serrated edges are designed to help the wedge stay in place as it is driven into the wood, and the two-size assortment is useful when one job involves different pieces or stages of timber work. These wedges are suited to forestry tasks as well as personal firewood projects, making the set relevant for arborists, loggers, and DIY users.

Buyer feedback often highlights the set’s functionality and the convenience of having several sizes. Opinions on durability and material quality are mixed: some customers describe the wedges as solid and durable, while others report that they can break easily or feel inexpensive. This range of feedback is worth keeping in mind when choosing a plastic wedge set for your work.

Is it worth it?

The UNCO set brings together four wedges, two useful size options, serrated edges, and a carry bag in one kit. It makes sense if you want a compact assortment for felling, bucking, or splitting firewood rather than buying just one wedge size. For outdoor timber tasks where having different wedge formats ready can help you adapt your setup, this set offers a practical, easy-to-carry collection.
