## Description

For a run, bike ride, or commute where you want audio without fully covering your ears, the UGREEN HiTune S3 uses an open-ear clip-on design. Each earbud weighs 5.3 g and has a C-shaped fit that sits on the ear’s edge. Bluetooth 5.4 connects to compatible devices for music and calls. Choose this style for awareness of your surroundings, sealed earbuds serve a different need when you want a more closed-in fit.

## Key points

The open-ear design leaves your ears uncovered, making these earbuds suited to workouts and outdoor activities where staying aware of nearby sounds matters. Their clip-on shape is designed to hold securely while you move, and the lightweight 5.3 g construction keeps the listening setup unobtrusive. The fit is intended to adjust to the shape of your ear.

For calls and podcasts, ENC noise reduction supports clearer voice pickup. The 12 mm drivers deliver stereo sound for music and other audio. Bluetooth 5.4 supports wireless pairing with Bluetooth-enabled phones, tablets, and laptops, while touch controls handle playback and other functions. Game Mode offers a stated 0.08-second low delay for compatible listening scenarios.

The earbuds are rated IPX5 for protection against sweat and rain, useful for exercise or wet-weather commutes. Battery life is listed at up to 7.5 hours per charge and 30 hours total. A 15-minute charge is stated to provide up to 120 minutes of use, actual playback time varies with volume. USB-C charging keeps charging straightforward, and the wireless connection has a stated range of up to 10 meters without obstacles.

## Usage tips

The clip-on design is made to rest along the ear’s edge rather than sit inside the ear canal. The listed maximum size is 2.5 cm, so consider how that fit relates to your ear shape when choosing this style. For outdoor use, keep audio at a level that lets you remain attentive to your surroundings, particularly while cycling or walking near traffic.

Pair the earbuds with a Bluetooth-enabled device for listening and calls. Game Mode is available when low audio delay is useful, for everyday music, podcasts, or calls, the standard connection covers the main use cases. After workouts or exposure to rain, wipe the earbuds clean and dry them before charging.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Touch controls let you manage listening without reaching for your phone, though buyers report that the controls can sometimes trigger accidentally. A deliberate touch and careful placement can help avoid unintended input. The included USB-C charging cable supports recharging, and the earbuds can also be used for online meetings, commuting, travel, and fitness.

Buyer feedback often praises the secure fit during activity. Sound, battery life, and Bluetooth connection receive mixed comments, so individual experiences vary. Some buyers also mention accidental touch activation. These are useful points to weigh alongside the open fit, call-focused ENC, and stated playtime when choosing earbuds for daily routines.

## Is it worth it?

The HiTune S3 is a practical match for listeners who prefer an open-ear clip-on design over earbuds that sit inside the ear canal. Its light 5.3 g build, sweat- and rain-resistant IPX5 rating, Bluetooth 5.4, and up to 30 hours of stated total playtime support use across workouts, commutes, and calls. If hearing some of your surroundings while listening is a priority, this design brings that benefit together with wireless convenience and touch control.
