## Description

For podcast recording, streaming, or gaming, the UBeesize UB-MKFXJBK brings a microphone into position from a desk-mounted arm, helping keep the desktop available for a keyboard, mouse, and other gear. Its clamp attaches to flat-edged desks up to 2.5 inches thick, while the arm’s adjustable joints let you position a compatible microphone where you need it.

The aluminum-alloy arm includes a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter and cable ties for routing a microphone cable along the arm.

## Key takeaways

The arm rotates 360° at the base, opens to a 210° angle between the arms, and has a microphone head that turns 360° horizontally and 180° vertically. That range makes it easier to move the mic aside between recording sessions or bring it closer for a seated or standing setup. The maximum height is 26 inches, and the maximum recommended microphone weight is 3.3 pounds.

The metal adapter supports 3/8" and 5/8" microphone threads. Listed compatible microphones include the Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball, HyperX QuadCast, Shure SM7B, and MV7. A standard microphone clip is also provided for dynamic microphones such as the Shure SM58, Samson Q2U, and Shure PGA48. The stand uses aluminum and ABS, with a polished black finish.

## Usage tips

Attach the C-clamp to a flat-edged desk, then tighten the stand’s knob before use to help keep the arm stable and prevent loosening or tilting. The clamp is designed for desks up to 2.5 inches thick, curved or slanted edges are not suited to its mounting shape. Once installed, adjust the arm and microphone head to direct the mic toward your speaking position.

What helps keep a recording setup tidy when the microphone moves? Three reusable hook-and-loop cable ties are included to secure a USB or XLR cable along the arm and help prevent loose wire from getting tangled or pulled. The package also includes the microphone arm, desk clamp, microphone stand, and metal thread adapter.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a gaming or streaming desk, position the microphone near your speaking area and swing it away when you need more room. For a podcast or voice-recording setup, adjust the arm joints and rotating head to suit your preferred seating or standing position. The clamp-mounted design is a practical alternative to a freestanding desktop stand when you want the microphone elevated off the work surface.

Before choosing a mount, compare the microphone’s thread connection and weight with the stand’s 3/8" or 5/8" adapter and 3.3-pound maximum recommendation. The listed microphone compatibility makes this arm relevant to several popular podcast and gaming setups, while the included clip supports compatible dynamic microphones. For the Fifine K669B, a shock mount is not included.

## Buying verdict

The UBeesize UB-MKFXJBK is suited to creators who want an adjustable, clamp-mounted microphone arm rather than a stand taking up space on the desk. Its aluminum-alloy construction, wide range of microphone positioning, thread adapter, and cable ties make it a useful fit for compatible podcasting, gaming, and streaming microphones. Match the clamp to a flat desk edge and tighten the knob before placing the microphone in position.
