## Description

## What it is and why people buy it
This TORRAS case for the Google Pixel 8 Pro is built for one main job: giving you a stable hands-free view while still letting you wirelessly charge and use MagSafe-style magnetic accessories. It combines a translucent matte black, slim profile with a built-in kickstand that supports multiple angles. On paper, it’s the kind of case you get when you regularly prop your phone up for video, calls, or watching content—without wanting a bulky stand add-on.

The other big hook is the integrated magnetic ring. Instead of treating “magnetic” as a gimmick, it’s designed to align with the phone’s magnets for a quicker, more secure hold with compatible accessories.

That said, a magnetic case also has a real-world limitation: it depends on the accessories you use. If your magnetic charger or car mount isn’t actually MagSafe-compatible, the experience may feel less stable than you expect.

## The essentials: hands-free stand + magnetic positioning
The built-in flush kickstand is designed to support both landscape and vertical viewing. In everyday terms, it means you can set your Pixel 8 Pro on a desk for a video call and angle it so the screen stays at a comfortable height—then fold it back so the phone doesn’t feel like it’s carrying extra bulk.

TORRAS also emphasizes magnetic stability. The case includes a Halbach magnet array and is claimed to provide stronger attraction than an official Pixel 8 Pro magnetic case, with a stated magnetic strength of 18 N. They’re also specific about what this is meant to prevent: sliding off a mount, or friction during movement (for example, while driving on uneven roads).

If you’re the type of person who uses a magnetic car mount, desk setup, or MagSafe-style accessories a lot, that magnetic focus is exactly what you’re paying for.

## Protection that’s meant to cover the common “oops” moments
This case is positioned as drop-protective. TORRAS describes it as “mil-grade” and mentions an air-cushion damping structure (X-Shock) plus TPU designed to protect on all sides. It also calls out raised edges for both the display and camera lens—1 mm for the screen area and 1.5 mm around the camera area—aimed at reducing the chance of scratches in day-to-day contact.

A sensible way to think about it: if you’re frequently tossing your phone into a bag, setting it down on rough surfaces, or worried about accidental drops, a slim case that still claims serious impact coverage can make sense.

The trade-off is always the same with protection cases: even with a slim fit, you’re still adding material. If you prefer a nearly naked feel or plan to remove the case often, it may not match that style.

## What stands out in daily use
A few details matter more than people expect:
- The kickstand is designed to fold away without adding extra bulk to the back.
- The hinges are steel and are tested through 30,000+ folding cycles (as claimed), which matters if you actually open and close it frequently.
- TORRAS frames it as a low-profile accessory where the stand doesn’t constantly get in the way when you slide the phone into and out of pockets.

Is it perfect? Probably not—no case is. But if your day includes video watching, cooking/reading while your phone is propped up, or regular vertical call viewing, this one’s built for that rhythm.

## Key specs to double-check before you buy
This is only designed for the Google Pixel 8 Pro (6.7-inch, released in 2023). Magnetic functionality also relies on accessory cooperation: the case needs MagSafe functionality from your chargers and mounts.

Before checkout, it’s worth checking two things: your exact phone model (Pixel 8 Pro only) and whether your wireless charger or magnetic mount is truly MagSafe-style with magnets. Otherwise, you could end up with a case that looks right but doesn’t behave how you wanted.

## Is it worth it?
Buy it if you want a Pixel 8 Pro case that does more than protect—specifically, if you want a built-in kickstand for multi-angle viewing and magnetic support for compatible MagSafe-style accessories while still charging wirelessly.

Skip it if you’re expecting magnetic compatibility to work with any random magnetic accessory, or if you want the absolute thinnest feel possible and don’t plan to use the stand often.

It’s a solid pick if you tend to use your phone propped up (calls, videos, reading) and you already rely on MagSafe-like charging or mounts. If you don’t use those accessories, the magnetic emphasis may feel like overkill.

### Mini FAQ
## Does the stand work for both portrait and landscape viewing?
Yes. The kickstand is designed to support horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) viewing angles.

## Will it work with any wireless charger?
The magnetic function depends on your accessories having MagSafe functionality with magnets. Wireless charging behavior isn’t detailed here beyond the intended use, so it’s smart to confirm compatibility with your specific charger setup.

## Is this case compatible with models other than Pixel 8 Pro?
No. TORRAS states it’s designed for Google Pixel 8 Pro (6.7-inch).

## How much protection is it aiming to provide?
TORRAS describes it as drop-protective with mil-grade certification messaging, including TPU and an air-cushion structure, plus raised edges for the display and camera lens.

## What if something goes wrong?
TORRAS includes a 180-day warranty and states they’ll respond within 6 hours for unexpected issues (details on exact coverage aren’t provided here).
