## Description

A built-in photocell turns these TORCHSTAR bulbs on after daylight fades and off when it returns, so an outdoor fixture can manage its own daily lighting cycle.

Each A19 bulb uses 9 watts and produces 800 lumens of soft white light at 2700K. The four-pack is intended for outdoor lighting such as a porch, garage, or garden fixture.

The main buying consideration is the sensor: it detects sunlight, not just darkness in the immediate area. The bulbs are specified for outdoor use only, and the sensor needs to remain unobstructed.

## Key specifications
- Type: LED bulb
- Format: A19
- Size: 9 watts
- Light output: 800 lumens
- Color: Soft white, 2700K
- Connectivity: E26 base
- Power: 120 volts
- What’s included: Four bulbs

The 220-degree beam angle is intended to spread light across a broad area, while the 800-lumen output gives you a practical reference when comparing these with other outdoor bulbs. The 2700K color temperature produces a warm white tone rather than a cooler daylight appearance. TORCHSTAR lists a three-year operating life and a three-year warranty, those manufacturer details are not a guarantee of how long every bulb will last in a particular fixture.

## Requirements
These bulbs are listed for outdoor use only and have an E26 base and 120-volt rating. Match the socket and electrical requirements of your fixture before choosing them. The manufacturer specifies a damp-location rating, so this is not a claim that the bulbs are waterproof or suitable for every exposed installation.

The photocell works by detecting sunlight. The manufacturer says nearby light from other fixtures does not affect its detection, but the sensor must not be covered or blocked during normal use. If you need a bulb for an indoor room, this is the wrong type: the manufacturer notes that it may remain on continuously indoors because it cannot detect sunlight there.

## How to use it
Install a bulb in a compatible outdoor fixture and leave the fixture powered so the photocell can control the bulb as daylight changes. This suits a porch or garage light that would otherwise need to be switched on at night and off in the morning. Unlike a conventional bulb controlled manually, the dusk-to-dawn function handles that routine automatically, it does not replace a fixture with a different socket or electrical rating.

Buyers commonly praise the automatic on/off behavior and the warm, useful light for exterior areas. Feedback about longevity is mixed: some report extended use, while others describe early failures or inconsistent operation. That makes the stated warranty worth noting, but buyer reports are not a substitute for a guarantee of individual performance.

## Should you buy it?
Worth considering if you want four warm-white A19 bulbs for outdoor fixtures and prefer photocell control over switching lights manually. They offer a defined output and color temperature, which helps when matching the light to a porch or garage. It’s not for you if you need indoor lighting, or if your fixture does not meet the E26 and 120-volt requirements. For a straightforward exterior setup where sunlight-based automatic operation is the priority, the A-47563 pack is a focused alternative to standard bulbs that rely on a person to control the switch.
