## Description

Voice-activated recording can help capture spoken parts of a lecture or meeting without keeping a finger on the record button. The Tonfarb A20 combines that feature with noise reduction, playback, and A-B repeat for revisiting a specific section. Its listed storage totals 136GB across built-in memory and an included card. Buyers’ reports on sound clarity are mixed, so consider the recording setting and environment as part of your decision.

## Product specs
- Model: A20
- Storage: 136GB total, including 8GB built-in storage and a 128GB TF memory card
- Recording formats: MP3 and WAV
- Display: 1.44-inch screen
- Battery life: Up to 68 hours of continuous recording, stated for MP3 at 32kbps
- Connections: USB-C for file transfer, 3.5mm headphone jack
- Features: Voice activation, automatic noise reduction, A-B repeat, password protection, timed recording, and segment recording

The recorder offers several MP3 and WAV bit rates, with PCM recording listed up to 1536kbps. That gives you options for balancing recording settings with the way you plan to use and store files, the advertised maximum of 9,775 hours is for MP3 recordings and should not be treated as a guaranteed duration for every setting. A one-touch side control is intended to start recording and save a file, including when the recorder is powered off. The built-in microphone is the recording input described in the product details.

Buyers often appreciate the compact design, straightforward controls, and battery life. Feedback on sound is less consistent: some describe voices as clear, while others say playback can sound too quiet. Several buyers also criticize the instructions as difficult to follow. If you expect to change recording settings frequently, that feedback is worth weighing alongside the recorder’s one-touch controls.

## How to use it
For a class or meeting, start recording with the side control, then use voice activation if you want the device to respond to speech rather than record continuously. Afterward, connect it to a computer with the USB-C connection to transfer files, or use playback and A-B repeat to return to a specific passage. Password protection is available for recordings you want to restrict on the device.

This setup suits someone who wants a standalone recorder with local storage and playback, rather than relying on a phone app for capture and file handling. It makes sense if you regularly record spoken material and want options such as scheduled recording or repeat playback. It may not suit you if you need consistently predictable sound in every setting, the available buyer feedback is divided on clarity and volume.

## What’s included
The listed package contains the A20 recorder, a 128GB TF memory card already inserted, a microphone cable, a USB cable, a line-in cable, and a user manual. The recorder also has 8GB of built-in storage, bringing the stated total to 136GB. A rechargeable lithium-polymer battery is listed as included.

## Practical questions
**Can it record without continuous button presses?** Yes. Voice-activated recording is designed to start and stop based on sound reaching the set level, and timed recording is also listed.

**Can I listen back on the recorder?** Yes. Playback is part of the product, and the A-B repeat function is intended to replay a selected section. A 3.5mm headphone jack is listed.

**How long can it record on one charge?** The stated maximum is up to 68 hours of continuous recording, with the manufacturer specifying MP3 at 32kbps for that figure. Higher recording bit rates are available, so the maximum should not be assumed for every format and setting.

## Should you buy it?
The A20 is a practical fit for capturing lectures, interviews, or meetings when you want a dedicated recorder, voice activation, and ample listed storage in one device. Its playback and A-B repeat can also help when reviewing a particular passage. Compared with a simpler recorder that has fewer playback controls, this model offers more ways to manage recordings, however, mixed reports about sound and hard-to-follow instructions make it a less certain choice if dependable clarity or especially easy setup is your main priority.
