Timber Ridge Folding Camping Chair, 500 lb Capacity

The wide seat is the defining feature of this Timber Ridge folding camping chair: at 24 3/8 inches across, it offers more room than a narrow, basic camp seat. A high back, padded headrest, and hard armrests add support for longer stretches of sitting, while the steel frame has a listed 500 lb capacity.

A built-in cup holder, pocket, and cooler bag keep a drink and small essentials close instead of scattered around your chair.

Where it shines

This chair is set up for relaxed outdoor seating at a campsite, sporting event, barbecue, or in the backyard. Picture settling in beside the grill with a drink in the cup holder and your phone in the side pocket, the storage is simple, but it can make a casual setup feel less cluttered. The cooler bag gives snacks or other small items a nearby place, though the listing doesn’t specify insulation or cooling performance.

The full back and padded headrest favor lounging over a minimalist stool or compact chair. If you prioritize a roomier seat and built-in places for essentials, this design has a clear purpose, if you prefer a lighter chair that takes up less space, its 16.85 lb weight is a real trade-off. On the spec sheet, the seat is 19 3/4 inches deep, the back is 26 3/8 inches high, and the overall chair height is 42 1/2 inches, which can help you judge the fit for your space.

Highlights

The heavy-duty steel frame is rated for 500 lb, and the oversized seat measures 24 3/8 inches wide. Those details make capacity and sitting room central to the chair’s appeal, rather than extras added to a small, lightweight design. The full back, padded headrest, and hard armrests round out the seating setup.

A cup holder and built-in pocket with a cooler bag provide convenient storage at arm’s reach. That’s useful when you’re watching a game or sitting outside and don’t want to keep setting your drink or phone on the ground. The product is described as folding, but no folded dimensions are provided, so you’ll need to decide whether its packed size works for your vehicle or storage area.

Best use cases

Choose it for a campsite, backyard gathering, barbecue, or sporting event where you expect to sit for a while and value a wider seat. It’s also worth considering if you want a sturdy-feeling chair with room for a drink and a few small items, rather than a stripped-down seat focused mainly on easy carrying.

The weight matters if you’ll be carrying your chair a long distance from the car or packing several chairs into a tight space. There’s no listed carry bag or folded measurement, so the product details don’t establish how conveniently it transports or stores. That’s a practical difference from choosing a lighter, simpler folding chair.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if the 500 lb capacity, wide seat, padded headrest, and built-in storage match what you need for seated outdoor events. Its design puts comfort and handy extras ahead of minimizing weight, making it a more relevant choice for a fixed spot at a campsite or backyard gathering than for frequent long carries.

It may not suit you if portability is your main concern, if you need exact folded dimensions before buying, or if you expect the cooler bag to keep items cold—the listing doesn’t give those details. Compare the stated seat and chair measurements with the space where you plan to use or store it, buy it for the roomy setup, not for unlisted transport or cooling features.
