## Description

The 38-disc NTSC DVD collection brings together The Vampire Diaries as an eight-volume set. Its listed runtime is 119 hours and 42 minutes, making it a substantial way to follow the series from its early days in Mystic Falls through its later supernatural conflicts. The story centers on Elena Gilbert and brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore. If you want the full series in one physical collection rather than assembling individual volumes, this set is built around that approach.

## Worth noting

The series blends drama, romance, science fiction, and fantasy. Its central love triangle is woven into a story of vampire rivalries, personal loyalties, and threats to Mystic Falls, with Elena’s diary entries, Stefan’s sense of right and wrong, and Damon’s cynical outlook helping shape the characters’ contrasting perspectives. The plot also follows Elena from high school into college and brings Katherine Pierce back into the conflict.

The collection is DVD in NTSC format, with English listed as the language. It contains 38 discs, and the product is rated NR (Not Rated). That combination makes the set a straightforward choice for viewers who want to revisit the complete supernatural drama in its original English-language presentation. Buyer feedback is positive about the series itself and includes praise for the DVDs, while reports about playback are mixed, some buyers mention trouble with two discs. Opinions on value also differ.

## Best use cases

This set suits a long-form rewatch, a dedicated TV series shelf, or a shared viewing schedule where the story can unfold across multiple sessions. Its full-series scope is useful if you want the characters’ relationships and supernatural storylines to develop in sequence, rather than starting with a single season or volume. The listed runtime also gives a clear sense of the collection’s scale for planning a weekend marathon or a slower episode-by-episode watch.

Compared with buying one season at a time, the complete-series format keeps the focus on the full run of The Vampire Diaries in one collection. It also works for viewers who prefer physical discs as their way to revisit a favorite show. The genre mix makes it especially suited to a watchlist that combines romantic drama with supernatural and fantasy elements.

## How to use it

Play the discs on a DVD player that supports NTSC DVDs, and follow the volumes in order to experience the story from its beginning. For a group watch, choose a regular viewing night and continue through the collection over time, for a more focused rewatch, follow one character’s changing relationships and choices as the Mystic Falls conflicts grow. The series’ English-language presentation supports viewers who want to watch it in English, while the physical format makes it easy to return to particular parts of the show.

## Final verdict

For fans who want The Vampire Diaries as a complete physical set, this 38-disc collection brings the series’ romance, drama, and supernatural story together in an eight-volume DVD release. Its full-series format is the main benefit: it gives a rewatch a clear beginning-to-end path and suits viewers ready to spend time with Elena, Stefan, Damon, and the evolving story of Mystic Falls.
