The Good Stuff TGS FIREBAG Fire-Resistant Document Pouch, 10 x 13-Inch

A zippered pouch keeps passports, cash, and important papers together, while its fire-resistant construction adds a layer of protection during storage. The Good Stuff TGS FIREBAG is a flexible document bag with a water-resistant coating, designed to fit in a drawer, backpack, or safe rather than take up space like a rigid case.

Its nominal 10 x 13-inch size is intended for everyday essentials, but the usable interior is smaller than the exterior. It is also water-resistant, not waterproof or suitable for submersion.

Everyday use

The pouch gives documents and small valuables one place to go, which can make them easier to gather if you need to leave quickly. A top zipper helps contain the contents, and the slim format can be stored with other emergency supplies or kept in a familiar spot at home or in an office. For example, you could group passports, certificates, bank cards, and cash, then keep the pouch inside a drawer or a properly rated safe.

The listed construction is described as fire-resistant, with the product rated for temperatures up to 2000°F. Treat that as an added protective layer, not a guarantee that everything inside will survive any fire. Exposure conditions matter, and the pouch is not a substitute for a fire-rated safe. The coating is water-resistant, but the manufacturer says not to submerge it or leave it exposed to water for a prolonged period.

Why it makes sense

Compared with a basic paper folder, a zipped pouch keeps loose essentials together and is easier to move as one bundle. It suits someone organizing a compact set of important items, rather than someone looking for a rigid lockbox or a dedicated case for large stacks of paperwork. The flexible shape also makes it practical to store inside a safe, where it can provide an extra layer without replacing the safe itself.

Buyer feedback often praises the pouch’s sturdy feel, useful capacity, and function for keeping important items together. Water protection draws more mixed reactions, so it is sensible to rely on the stated water-resistant design rather than treat the bag as waterproof. Check the dimensions of your own documents before packing: the manufacturer notes that unfolded US legal-size sheets do not fit flat, and seams and the zipper reduce the usable space.

Worth considering if you want a portable place for passports, cash, and smaller papers, with fire resistance and a zipper. You may want to skip it if you need to store unfolded legal-size sheets or need a waterproof container for submersion.

Buying verdict

The TGS FIREBAG is a practical organizer for a small set of essential documents and valuables when portability matters more than rigid construction. Its zipped design, stated fire resistance, and water-resistant coating make it more protective than leaving papers loose in a drawer, while the compact format works well inside a larger safe or emergency bag.

Choose it for keeping a few essentials together and easy to reach, not for storing every document flat or protecting contents from prolonged water exposure. If you need broader protection, pair it with a properly rated safe and keep separate backup copies of important records.
