## Description

Real tree photographs give these wooden blocks a more recognizable look than plain wooden shapes, while the double-sided design shows seasonal changes on the same piece.

Each block features one of 10 tree species, with a different season on each side. The set is intended for children ages 18 months and up.

Turn a block from its summer image to its winter one, then use it to start a conversation or build a small woodland scene. If you prioritize realistic nature images, these offer a different kind of play prompt, if you prefer open-ended blocks with no picture or theme, simple solid blocks may be a better fit.

## Getting the most from it

The blocks are made from New Zealand pine and are 1.1 inches thick, so they can stand on their own. That makes them easy to arrange upright alongside other play pieces, rather than using them only as pieces to stack. A child might line up a leafy tree and its other-season image, then make up a story about what changes as the year goes by. The pictures can also give caregivers a concrete starting point for talking about evergreen and deciduous trees.

Each piece has real tree photographs on both sides, and the set includes a mix of evergreen and deciduous species. Keep in mind that each tree shows two different seasons, not all four seasons on every block. The images are the main learning prompt, the listing does not specify a guide or activity cards.

## Why it’s worth it

This set combines block play with a clear seasonal theme, so it can suit a child who is drawn to nature pictures and pretend play. The freestanding shape invites arranging and storytelling, while turning the pieces over gives the same small scene a different look. It may also add a more specific subject to a play area than a basic set of unmarked wooden blocks.

Worth considering if you want a tactile way to introduce how trees look across the year without relying only on a book or screen. The product description says the pieces have a smooth, non-toxic lacquer coating and eco-friendly paint, and that the products are FSC certified and made from sustainable sources. Without having tried it, those stated details suggest a set designed for hands-on play, but they do not tell you how the finish holds up over time.

## Worth noting

The fixed photo theme is also the main limitation: children who prefer building freely may get less from the tree images than kids who enjoy sorting, arranging, or inventing nature-based stories. The listing gives the block thickness but not the other dimensions, so there is limited information for judging the scale of each piece or how much room the set takes up. It may not suit you if you want a full four-season view for every tree or need more detail about storage and care before choosing.

## Is it worth it?

Worth considering if the goal is to bring recognizable trees and seasonal change into toddler play, with sturdy freestanding pieces that can be turned and rearranged. It is a more focused choice than generic blocks, and that focus will matter: the photographs provide an easy storytelling cue, but they also narrow the theme. Choose it for picture-led nature play and simple conversations about seasons, look elsewhere if you want unrestricted construction pieces or every tree represented in all four seasons.
