## Description

## Tech summary
The 3.3-inch backlit LCD puts indoor and outdoor readings on one easy-to-read display. This wireless thermometer also tracks humidity, with temperature readings within ±2°F and humidity readings within ±2–3% RH. A remote sensor sends measurements to the base station using RF technology, with a stated range of up to 500 feet. The display shows all-time and 24-hour high and low records, plus trend indicators, so you can follow changes rather than just check a single reading. Its backlight switches off automatically after 10 seconds to conserve battery power.

The sensor and base station arrive pre-paired, and four AAA batteries are included. Three front-facing buttons make it easy to adjust settings while the unit is on a wall or refrigerator. For flexible placement, the base has a built-in magnet, a countertop stand, and a hanging hole.

## Everyday compatibility
Use the remote sensor to monitor an outdoor area while keeping the display indoors. The wireless connection has a stated range of up to 500 feet, making this setup useful when the sensor is placed away from the room where you check readings, such as near a patio, garage, greenhouse, or RV. The outdoor sensor is described as cold-resistant and waterproof, supporting use in changing outdoor conditions.

If you mainly need a quick reading from one spot, a basic standalone thermometer may be enough. This two-part setup is better suited to checking indoor and remote outdoor conditions together, without having to go outside to read the sensor. Install the batteries, place the base where its screen is easy to see, and position the remote sensor in the area you want to monitor.

## Best use cases
For a home, the display offers a simple way to compare indoor conditions with the temperature and humidity outside. In a garage, greenhouse, or RV, the remote sensor lets you keep an eye on a separate space from the base station. High and low records and trend indicators add context when you want to see whether conditions have shifted over the day or across the recorded period.

The large digits and backlight are useful in a basement or another dim area, while the front buttons simplify everyday adjustments. Buyers often praise the readability and straightforward setup. Feedback on accuracy is mixed, including reports of discrepancies in colder conditions, and some buyers report units stopping after roughly six months, opinions on value also vary.

## Should you buy it?
Choose the TempAir PLUS TP62B if you want one indoor display for temperature and humidity readings from both the base station and a remote outdoor sensor. Its backlit screen, high-and-low records, front controls, and flexible mounting options make it practical for checking conditions at home or monitoring a separate area such as a garage or greenhouse. The 500-foot stated wireless range is a useful fit when the sensor needs to sit away from the display.
