The essentials
If you golf in weather that can change fast, a reliable umbrella isn’t just “nice to have”—it’s what keeps your round moving instead of turning into a scramble to find cover. The Team Golf NCAA Florida Gators Golf Umbrella is built around that idea: a 62" canopy, a wind-focused double canopy design, and an auto open button so you can deploy it quickly when the sky decides to drop rain.
On paper, it’s pretty straightforward: 100% nylon fabric, four-location printing for team spirit, and a protective sheath so storage is less of a hassle between holes and at home. It’s not positioned as a technical racing umbrella, it’s more in the team-fan category that tries to handle golf-day wind and still look right when you pull it out.
Where it gets interesting is how it handles the “mid-game” moments: the auto open button and molded, easy-grip handle are the kind of details you feel when you’re juggling golf gear and trying to keep one hand free.
What you’ll notice in use
The double canopy wind protection design is the main functional hook here. Golf umbrellas often struggle when gusts hit sideways, especially if you’re standing near carts, carts paths, or open areas on the course. With a double canopy setup, this one is meant to reduce the “wings flapping” feeling and stay more stable than a single-layer umbrella.
There’s also the practical matter of setup speed. Pressing an auto open button can save you time when you’re moving between tee boxes or trying to shelter while others hit. And the molded handle is easy to grab without fighting for grip when your hands are holding a glove, towel, or a club.
One real-life scenario: imagine you’re walking off the fairway, drizzle starts, and a gust pushes the rain sideways. Instead of wrestling a stubborn umbrella, you can hit the auto open button, orient the canopy, and keep walking—while still having the team branding out front.
Key features that matter
Beyond the NCAA Florida Gators graphics, the product is designed around day-to-day golf convenience:
- 62" umbrella size for more coverage on the course
- Double canopy wind protection design aimed at handling gusty conditions
- 100% nylon fabric
- Auto open button for faster deployment
- Molded, easy-grip handle
- Printed graphics in four locations
- Protective sheath for storage
That set of features is a sensible package for golfers who care about both function (wind/rain practicality) and appearance (team look).
Where it shines, and where it may fall short
Worth considering if you’re buying an umbrella for golf outings where wind and sudden rain are common, and you want something that’s easy to open one-handed while you’re on the move. It also makes sense if you want a Florida Gators themed gift that doesn’t look like a cheap novelty.
It might not be the best match if you’re expecting a “premium” umbrella experience in the most technical sense. This model is focused on practical coverage and wind resistance, but it’s still a team-themed golf umbrella—not a specialized performance tool. If your priority is extreme durability under heavy wind over many seasons, you may want to compare how other umbrellas in the category handle heavy gusts.
Also, since the umbrella includes a protective sheath, it’s great for storage, but you’ll still want to handle it carefully when you’re packing it away right after a wet round.

Buying verdict
It’s a solid pick if you want a golf umbrella that opens quickly, aims to stay steady in wind thanks to its double canopy design, and shows Florida Gators spirit with multi-location printing. The protective sheath also makes it more course-friendly than umbrellas that are awkward to stash.
You may want to skip it if you’re shopping for the most advanced, no-questions-asked umbrella durability for severe wind conditions, or if you don’t care about themed branding. In those cases, a more purely utilitarian umbrella approach might suit you better.
Overall, this one makes sense for golfers and fans who want practical coverage plus a team look—especially as a holiday, Father’s Day, or event gift.
