## Description

For routing microphone or other XLR audio connections through a stage box, patch panel, or floor box, these SZLliyxs pass-through cables provide a female panel-mount connection and a female XLR connector. Each cable is 2 feet long, and the pack includes two. Need a clean connection point in an installed audio setup? The D-Type panel-mount design helps bring the connection to the panel while keeping the cable run short.

## Practical tips

Use the panel-mount end to create an XLR connection point on a compatible panel, stage box, or floor box, then connect the female XLR end to the equipment in your signal path. The two-cable pack is useful when setting up more than one connection or keeping a spare ready for another routing point. Because each cable measures 2 feet, it is suited to short connections around an enclosure or rack rather than a long run across a room.

This format offers a different approach from a loose inline adapter: the panel-mount connector gives the connection a fixed place in an installation, while the cable links it to the next XLR point. The metal housing, nickel-plated connectors, and shielding are designed for stage and studio environments. No power or configuration is needed, connect the XLR ends and secure the panel-mount end as part of the installation.

## Pros

The female-to-female layout supports pass-through routing between XLR connections without changing the connector gender at either end. That makes the cables useful for adding panel access to a stage box, patch panel, or floor box where the connection needs to be available from the outside of the enclosure. The D-Type panel-mount format is suited to a fixed installation, while the separate female XLR connector provides a direct point for connecting another XLR cable or device.

Having two cables in one pack helps when wiring a pair of connection points or planning more than one route in an audio setup. Their short 2-foot length keeps the intended use focused on nearby panel-to-equipment connections. The three-pin connectors and stated use for audio transmission make them appropriate for XLR audio routing, including setups involving microphones, mixers, and amplifiers.

## When it makes sense

Choose this set when you are organizing XLR connections at a stage box, patch panel, or floor box and want female connections at both ends, with one designed for panel mounting. For example, an installer can position the D-Type end at a panel and use the other end to connect equipment within the enclosure or nearby. It suits you if a fixed pass-through point and a compact cable connection are more useful than a standalone adapter hanging between cables. For live audio, studio wiring, or a permanent installation, the two-piece set offers a practical way to add those connection points to the signal route.
