## Description

Magnetic bases keep sockets in place—even when the trays are upside down—so tools stay organized on a toolbox or steel work surface. Soft rubber surfaces help protect metal tools from scratches, while labeled socket positions make sizes easier to identify.

The set combines socket storage for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drives with two magnetic wrench holders. Metric and SAE tools have designated sections, bringing commonly used sets together in one organizer system.

## Why it’s worth it

Instead of sorting sockets and wrenches into separate loose piles, this set gives each tool a designated place. The socket trays hold up to 199 sockets across the three drive sizes, and the two wrench holders provide 30 slots total, with space for 15 wrenches in each. That combination helps keep a working set visible and accessible when moving between repairs or projects.

The magnetic bases attach to steel surfaces, giving you the option to keep organizers on a toolbox or another steel work area. The manufacturer states that the magnetic base holds up to 13 lbs. Soft rubber surfaces help protect tool finishes during storage, and labeled socket positions support quick size identification. Buyers also highlight the magnetic hold and the extra room for arranging sockets and wrenches, their feedback describes the set as useful for keeping a toolbox orderly.

## Key features

The socket organizers cover 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drives and are designed for metric and SAE sockets. Black holders are designated for metric sizes, while green holders are designated for SAE sizes. This color distinction makes it easier to keep the two measurement systems sorted when both are part of a tool collection.

Two magnetic wrench holders add a separate place for SAE and metric wrenches, with 15 slots per holder. The green plastic organizers combine practical storage with magnetic attachment, while soft rubber on the magnetic base helps prevent scratches on metal tools. The set is intended for organizing sockets and wrenches, the sockets and wrenches themselves are not included.

## Best use cases

This set suits a home garage, workshop, or toolbox where sockets and wrenches need to stay sorted by drive size and measurement system. For a repair that calls for switching between a socket and wrench, keeping both types in designated holders makes it easier to return each tool to its place after use. The magnetic bases also let you position the organizers on a steel surface while working, rather than relying only on a drawer or a stationary tray.

A collection that needs only one type of organizer may be better served by a dedicated socket tray or wrench rack. This combination is useful when you want storage for both tool types in one coordinated setup, with capacity for a large socket assortment and 30 wrench slots.

## Final verdict

SWANLAKE GARDEN TOOLS SW-66162 brings socket and wrench storage together, with labeled positions, metric and SAE separation, and magnetic bases for placement on steel. It is a practical fit for organizing a mixed set of drive sizes and wrenches in a garage or workshop, especially when keeping tools accessible and protected between jobs matters.
