Surelect 988-838A1 Christmas Tree Toy with Musical Light-Up Star and Train

Set up a festive play spot where a young child can decorate a tree, move a toy train, and explore holiday-themed play pieces. The Surelect 988-838A1 turns Christmas décor into an interactive activity for little hands.

A light-up star adds music and projection to the tree. Touching the star projects moon and star shapes onto a child’s hands, bringing an extra sensory element to play or a quiet bedtime routine.

If you’re choosing between a decoration that stays on a shelf and a holiday toy children can interact with, this set leans into hands-on play. It combines a small Christmas tree with a train, ornaments, and character toys for imaginative seasonal play.

Key features

The tree is designed for children to decorate themselves, making the ornaments part of the activity rather than just a display. Moving and placing the pieces gives children a chance to practice fine motor skills while creating their own festive setup. The set also includes a mini train and character toys featuring Santa, an elk, a bear, and a snowman. These characters can be used as decorations, roly-poly toys, or finger puppets, offering several ways to bring them into pretend play.

At the top, the star combines light, music, and projection. It offers adjustable volume, five nature sounds, and five lullabies, so families can choose a sound for playtime or a gentler bedtime atmosphere. The projected stars and moon add a visual detail for children to discover by touching the star.

The tree is made from ABS described as BPA-free, with smooth edges. It is intended for indoor use and recommended for children ages 36 months to 5 years. Two AA batteries are required. Adult supervision is recommended, particularly because the set includes small gift boxes.

Usage tips

Place the tree on an indoor play surface and let your child arrange the ornaments and explore the train and character toys. For a calmer routine, try the star’s adjustable volume and lullaby settings, for more active play, use the pieces for decorating and make-believe. Keep the small gift boxes and other play pieces within an adult-supervised activity, following the stated supervision recommendation.

Customer feedback often describes the toy as cute and entertaining for young children. Experiences with assembly and stability are mixed, with some buyers reporting that pieces do not connect as expected or that the tree tips over. Setting it up on a steady surface and checking that the parts are connected can help make it easier to use during play.

Getting the most from it

Treat the tree as a seasonal play station rather than only a decoration. Children can place ornaments, send the train around the tree, and use the character toys as puppets or roly-poly figures, shifting between activities without changing the theme. This variety makes the set useful for a shared holiday play session, while the star’s sound and projection features give it a distinct role when the room is winding down.

The character pieces also offer a simple starting point for imaginative stories: children can make the figures part of a winter scene, then return them to the tree as ornaments. For family gatherings, the tree creates a small, child-focused activity that can be set apart from larger holiday decorations.

When it makes sense

This set is suited to families looking for a child-oriented Christmas decoration that also invites interactive play. The combination of decorating, a train, finger puppets, and a musical projector star gives children several ways to engage with one festive theme. It suits you if you want a holiday gift for a child in the recommended age range that can support creative play as well as a gentle bedtime atmosphere.
