## Description

## Technical overview

For creators recording voice with an Elgato Wave 1, this SUNMON foam windscreen is designed to reduce plosive pops and hiss from close speech. The high-density foam also helps soften breath and wind noise, making it a practical addition to a voiceover, podcast, or vocal recording setup. Its flexible construction fits over the microphone, while the foam helps shield it from dust, moisture, and flying spittle during regular use.

The fitted cover offers a straightforward alternative to setting up a separate pop screen in front of the mic. It sits directly over the Wave 1 and is easy to install, remove, and clean, so you can put it on for a recording session and take it off when needed. The package contains one foam windscreen, the Elgato Wave 1 microphone is not included.

## What it works with

This windscreen is specifically designed for the Elgato Wave 1 USB condenser microphone. Its close-fitting shape is intended for that mic, making it a focused choice for Wave 1 owners who want foam coverage without adding a separate screen in front of the microphone. Use it for spoken recordings, singing, video voiceovers, or other audio work with the compatible Wave 1.

It is the microphone’s model that matters when choosing this cover: the product is described for the Elgato Wave 1, rather than as a universal windscreen for any microphone. Pairing it with that mic gives you a simple way to address plosive and breath sounds at the source while keeping a protective foam layer around the microphone.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Fit the foam cover over the Wave 1 before recording, especially when speaking or singing close to the mic. Its purpose is to reduce pops, hiss, breath, and wind noise, it can also help protect the microphone from dust and moisture. For recording at a desk, the fitted design keeps the setup centered on the microphone rather than requiring a separate pop screen positioned between you and the mic.

The cover is removable and easy to clean, which is useful when switching between recording sessions or putting the microphone away. The foam may arrive compressed in its packaging. Take it out and leave it for a little while to return to its original shape before use.

## Buying verdict

For Elgato Wave 1 owners, this SUNMON windscreen combines a model-specific fit with practical foam coverage for speech and vocal recording. It helps reduce common plosive, breath, and wind noise while adding a removable layer of protection against dust, moisture, and spittle. Choose it when you want a simple cover that sits on the Wave 1 itself rather than a separate pop filter positioned in front of the microphone.
