SunCleanse Filtered Handheld Shower Head, Chrome

Where it shines

Some showers call for broad, comfortable coverage, others need a more focused stream for cleanup. This SunCleanse handheld shower head is designed to cover both needs, with a large spray face, eight shower modes, and a separate Power Wash jet.

The wide spray face is intended to rinse shampoo and soap across a broader area rather than concentrating everything into a narrow stream. Switch to the focused jet to rinse a tub or shower wall, or to wash a pet without directing the full shower spray around the bathroom.

If you prioritize switching between everyday shower coverage and targeted rinsing, the separate settings make sense. If you prefer a simple fixed shower head with fewer parts and no filter to replace, this setup may be more involved than you need. The 59-inch hose and adjustable bracket also make it easier to aim the spray toward a child, pet, or lower part of the shower.

What to know

The included replaceable filter uses KDF-55, calcium sulfite, and mineral media. It is designed to reduce residual chlorine and common water impurities, but the product details do not specify reduction amounts or establish that it removes every contaminant. Treat filtration as a stated feature, not a substitute for water testing or a guarantee of a particular result. The chrome set comes with one filter, so ongoing filter replacement is part of the ownership picture.

There are eight shower modes, including rain, mist, massage, combination, and pause settings, plus the separate Power Wash stream. That gives you options for a quick rinse, a more focused spray, or a bathroom cleanup. The large spray face is designed for broad coverage, though the listing does not provide a measured flow rate or pressure figure, actual feel can depend on your plumbing and setup.

Installation is intended for standard U.S. shower arms. The package includes a 59-inch stainless steel hose, adjustable bracket, rubber washers, Teflon tape, a removable flow restrictor, and instructions. Follow the washer placement directions to help prevent leaks. Worth considering if you want a handheld unit that combines filtration, several spray choices, and a cleaning jet. Better avoided if you want a basic, low-maintenance head or need documented filtration performance before buying.

Cleaning & care

The flexible silicone nozzles are designed to help limit hard-water mineral buildup and can be wiped clean during routine maintenance. That is a practical detail in a hard-water bathroom, where clogged outlets can make a spray pattern less consistent. It does not mean the nozzles or filter need no upkeep: the nozzles still need occasional wiping, and the cartridge is replaceable. The product information does not give a filter lifespan or a cleaning schedule, so those details cannot be assumed.

For a concrete use case, aim the Power Wash jet at soap residue on the tub after a shower, then switch back to a broader setting for rinsing. The hose provides reach for that kind of task without requiring you to use the main spray face at close range. The trade-off is an extra filter and more settings to manage compared with a straightforward handheld head.

Final verdict

This is a fit for shoppers who want a handheld shower head that can handle daily rinsing and occasional bathroom or pet cleanup, with a filter aimed at reducing residual chlorine and common impurities. Its useful distinction is the combination of broad spray coverage and a separate focused wash jet—not a documented promise of a specific water-treatment result. Choose it if those functions matter and you are comfortable maintaining a replaceable cartridge. Skip it if you would rather have a simpler shower head without filter upkeep, or if you need verified filtration figures before deciding.
