StepRite MPNST0003-076120BL 2-Piece Anti-Fatigue Kitchen Mats, Black PVC

If you spend time standing while cooking or cleaning, a cushioned surface can make the spot in front of a counter more comfortable. This StepRite set includes two black PVC mats, one 17.3" x 30" and one 17.3" x 47". Both are 0.4 inches thick and have a diamond pattern. They’re water- and stain-resistant, but care instructions specify hand washing.

Highlights

The two-piece layout gives you a shorter mat and a longer one to place where you stand most, such as by a kitchen counter or sink. The cushioning is intended to soften the feel of standing, while the water-resistant, stain-resistant surface is suited to areas where occasional spills happen. The manufacturer describes the backing as non-slip and recommends placing the mats on a dry, flat surface.

PVC construction and the black color make this a straightforward floor mat set rather than a decorative rug with a range of materials or colors to choose from. The listed dimensions can help you decide whether the pair suits your available floor space. Buyers commonly praise the cushioning, comfort during kitchen tasks, and ease of cleaning. Feedback on grip is mixed, though: some say the mats stay put, while others report sliding. Some buyers also raise concerns about tearing and find the mats thinner than expected, so these are worth weighing if long-term wear or a very plush feel is a priority.

How to take care of it

The listed care instruction is hand wash only. The product description also says spills can be wiped with a damp cloth, which may suit quick cleanup after cooking. Water resistance does not mean the mats should be left wet underneath, the placement guidance calls for a dry, flat surface. Before washing, consider whether you can lift and clean each mat by hand rather than relying on machine washing.

Usage tips

Use the longer mat along a stretch of counter where you tend to stand, and place the shorter one in another work area if the floor plan allows. A kitchen is the clearest use case, though the product description also mentions laundry areas, desks, doorways, and balconies. Check the listed sizes against the floor area and nearby doors or cabinets so the mats fit without obstructing movement.

This set takes a different approach from buying one large floor covering: two separate pieces can be positioned in distinct standing spots. That flexibility is useful when your work areas are apart, but the mats may not cover a continuous floor area. A solid pick if you want cushioning in specific standing zones and can hand wash the mats. Better avoided if you need one seamless covering or expect a particularly thick, hard-wearing mat, buyer feedback includes concerns about thinness and tearing.

Before you decide

What sizes are included? The set contains one 17.3" x 30" mat and one 17.3" x 47" mat.

Can these mats go in a washing machine? The care instructions say hand wash only. The product description also recommends wiping spills with a damp cloth.

Will they stay in place on my floor? They have a non-slip backing, and the manufacturer recommends dry, flat surfaces. Buyer feedback on whether they stay put is mixed, so the surface and placement may matter.

Should you buy it?

Choose this pair if you want two cushioned PVC mats for standing areas and prefer separate pieces over one continuous rug. The water- and stain-resistant surface and hand-wash care instructions give a practical picture of upkeep. If durability, extra thickness, or consistently secure grip is essential, the reported concerns and mixed feedback make those points worth considering before choosing this set.
