## Description

The double-sided design gives you two grooming functions in one tool. Use the 9-tooth side to work through mats and tangles, then switch to the 17-tooth side to thin the undercoat and remove loose hair. Its lightweight, non-slip rubber handle offers a steady grip while grooming. The rake is designed for long- and medium-haired dogs and cats.

## How to use it
Begin with the 9-tooth side for stubborn mats and tangles, working through the coat with controlled strokes. Once the coat is detangled, turn the rake over and use the 17-tooth side for undercoat grooming and shedding control. This two-step approach lets you move from knot removal to loose-hair grooming without changing tools. The teeth have sharpened edges with fine, rounded tips, designed to help remove tangles and loose hair while supporting a comfortable grooming session.

The tool can serve as a dematting rake, detangling comb, undercoat comb, or deshedding rake. That versatility is useful during regular coat care: you can address a knot first, then continue with the undercoat using the other side. Its intended coat types are long- and medium-haired dogs and cats, making it relevant for households grooming more than one kind of pet.

## What stands out
Rather than choosing between a dedicated mat-removal tool and a separate undercoat rake, this design combines both tasks in one double-sided grooming tool. The different tooth counts give each side a distinct role: the 9-tooth side tackles mats and tangles, while the 17-tooth side is for thinning and deshedding. The green extra-wide format is easy to identify in a grooming kit, and the lightweight body with a non-slip rubber handle is designed to feel comfortable and stable in hand, including in damp conditions.

Buyer feedback often highlights fur removal and comfortable handling, with some customers noting that their dogs tolerate grooming well. Experiences are not uniform: feedback on ease of use is mixed, including reports of the rake catching in the coat, and durability comments range from lasting well to reports of the handle breaking or the tool coming apart. These varied experiences are useful context when considering a grooming tool for regular coat care.

## Should you buy it?
It makes sense if you want one grooming tool that can handle both tangles and routine undercoat care. The two-sided layout is the main reason to choose it over a single-purpose rake or dematting comb: start by addressing knots, then switch sides to remove loose hair. For pet owners caring for a long- or medium-haired dog or cat, that combination makes the STALTWO S-2165 a practical fit for grooming sessions that involve both detangling and shedding control.
