## Description

With 1TB of storage, the SSK SD311 gives you room for photos, videos, and large files in a compact flash drive format. Its zinc alloy housing makes it convenient to carry between devices.

The dual USB-C and USB-A connectors let you move files between compatible phones, tablets, and computers without relying on a single connection type. That flexibility is useful for keeping files accessible across your devices.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 supports read speeds up to 550MB/s and write speeds up to 500MB/s. Use it to transfer high-resolution photos, videos, or other large files between compatible devices.

## Highlights

The two connectors serve different parts of a typical workflow: connect through USB-C to a compatible phone or tablet, then use USB-A to access files on a computer or other supported equipment. This can be more convenient than carrying separate drives for different ports. The drive is also listed as compatible with smart TVs and car audio systems, giving you additional ways to access stored media.

For example, you can save photos or video files from a compatible USB-C phone, then connect the drive to a computer with USB-A to organize or share them. Plug-and-play operation means no software installation is required for the supported devices and systems.

## Size & fit

The 1TB capacity suits users who want portable storage for a sizable collection of files, while the compact form factor is easy to carry between work, home, and mobile devices. The zinc alloy shell is designed to resist everyday wear and impacts, and the double-head protective cover shields both connectors when the drive is being carried.

## Usage tips

For the listed read speed of up to 550MB/s, connect the drive to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. With a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 connection, transfer speeds are limited to up to 450MB/s. Actual performance can also vary with the host device, interface, and usage conditions.

The drive uses exFAT by default and supports common Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android systems. On a USB-C iPhone, open the Files app and browse for the SSK Drive after connecting it. Android phones need OTG support for this type of connection. The drive is not compatible with Lightning-port iPhones.

## Questions before you buy

**Can I use the drive with both a phone and a computer?** The USB-C and USB-A connectors are designed for transferring files between compatible devices. It supports USB-C iPhone 15, 16, and 17 models, OTG-enabled Android phones, Windows computers, and Macs, among other listed devices. A Lightning-port iPhone is not compatible.

**What transfer speeds can I expect?** The rated maximums are up to 550MB/s read and 500MB/s write with USB 3.2 Gen 2. A USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 connection limits transfer speed to up to 450MB/s.

**What file system does it use?** It comes formatted as exFAT, which is supported by Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android systems listed for the drive. The device and its operating system determine which file types can be opened.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the SSK SD311 if you want 1TB of portable storage with both USB-C and USB-A connections for moving files across compatible mobile devices and computers. Its dual-port design, compact form, and high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 support make it a practical fit for carrying photos, videos, and work files between devices.
