Smiry Waterproof Couch Cover 36" x 63

If you want more than a loose blanket between your pet and the sofa, this cover adds a plush surface, a waterproof layer, and non-slip backing. Those details address everyday mess and movement, not just visible pet hair.

The listed size is 36" x 63" for a loveseat sofa. Measure the seating area before choosing it, a cover that misses part of the cushion may leave that spot exposed.

If you prioritize a soft place to lounge and a barrier against spills, this design brings both together. If you prefer a fitted, upholstery-like look, a rectangular cover may not be the style you want.

Where it shines

The plush flannel surface has a horizontal stripe texture and is intended to make the seating area comfortable for people and pets. The inner TPU membrane helps block liquid penetration from things like drool, muddy paws, or accidents. That can be useful when your dog hops onto the loveseat after coming in from outside, before you have a chance to wipe its paws.

Non-slip backing is designed to grip the furniture and reduce shifting when pets climb on or off. It gives this cover a practical advantage over a basic throw, which may offer a soft layer but does not provide the same stated waterproof barrier and grip. The outer layer is also described as helping withstand everyday wear and scratches, though it should not be treated as a guarantee against damage from determined scratching.

It’s a great fit if you want a shared lounging spot that helps protect a loveseat without making your pet settle on a bare, less cozy surface. The cover can also be used as a pet mat on a bay window, beside a bed, or on a car backseat, according to the maker.

What matters most

The dimensions are the key buying detail: this version is listed at 36" x 63" and intended for a loveseat sofa. Compare those measurements with the area you want covered, including how much cushion or seat edge you want the fabric to reach. Furniture shapes vary, and the product information does not specify a tailored fit or a way to secure the cover beyond its non-slip backing.

That backing may help keep the cover in place, but active pets can still move a loose cover around. Better avoided if you need a precise, fitted upholstery cover or full coverage across a larger sofa, the listed loveseat size may not suit that job. The waterproof layer is a useful defense against everyday moisture, but it is still sensible to deal with spills promptly rather than assume the sofa is protected in every situation.

Cleaning & care

The cover is described as machine washable, which is handy when it picks up hair, paw marks, or a small spill. The flannel is also described as colorfast and resistant to shedding through washing. No wash temperature, drying method, or other care settings are provided, so follow any instructions included with the cover instead of guessing at a cycle.

Final verdict

This Smiry cover makes the most sense for someone protecting a loveseat while keeping a soft, pet-friendly surface in the living area. Its combination of flannel, a TPU moisture barrier, and non-slip backing offers more targeted protection than an ordinary throw, while the washable design addresses routine cleanup. Choose it when 36" x 63" matches the area you need covered and a rectangular protector works for your furniture. Skip it if you need a tailored fit, broader sofa coverage, or care details that are not specified.
