Smiry Memory Foam Bath Mat 47x17

Key specifications

The 47x17 format gives this Smiry memory foam bath mat a longer footprint than a small mat, so more of the floor beside a tub or shower can be covered.

Its high-density polyurethane foam cushions bare feet, while the flannel outer layer adds a soft surface underfoot. That can make stepping out of the shower onto a cold, hard floor feel more comfortable.

The mat is brown, described as quick-drying and machine washable, and has a PVC backing with reinforced dots. It is intended for use on a clean, dry, flat floor, the underside should stay dry before use.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you want a cushioned place to stand after showering and prefer a longer bath mat over a compact one. The foam and absorbent surface are aimed at taking up moisture from wet feet and helping limit water left on the bathroom floor. For example, you can step out of the tub onto the mat while drying off, rather than standing directly on cold tile.

Its 47x17 size is worth comparing with the available floor space before buying. A smaller mat may be easier to fit in a tight bathroom, while a larger or more tailored floor covering may suit someone who wants to cover more of the room. Not the best choice if you need a mat that can be placed on a damp or uneven surface: the instructions call for a clean, dry, flat floor, with the bottom kept dry.

Everyday use

The listing describes the mat as suitable for the bathroom, including by a shower or tub, and also mentions other rooms such as a kitchen, laundry room, hallway, bedroom, or balcony. In practice, its soft, absorbent construction is most relevant where bare feet and occasional splashes are part of the routine. The PVC dot backing is designed to help hold its position, but the dry-surface requirement still matters, the product details do not establish that it will grip every type of flooring.

The mat is shipped rolled, and creases may need attention before it lies flat. The provided guidance is to place a damp towel over the folded areas and gently move an iron over them, following the detailed ironing tips on the product page. That extra step may be inconvenient if you expect a ready-to-use, crease-free mat straight out of the package. Machine washing is listed, but no specific wash settings are provided.

Before you decide

Will it fit beside my tub or shower? The listed size is 47x17. Measure the available floor area and check that the mat will not obstruct doors or other bathroom fixtures.

Can I machine wash it? Yes, it is described as machine washable. The listing does not specify a cycle, water temperature, or drying instructions, so those details are not established here.

Does the backing mean it can go on any floor? The backing has reinforced PVC dots, but the instructions specify a clean, dry, flat surface and a dry underside. Its performance on a particular floor type is not given.

Buying verdict

From the way it is set up, this mat prioritizes a soft, cushioned landing spot and moisture absorption over a minimal, low-profile design. Choose it if the brown color and 47x17 footprint suit your bathroom and you are comfortable keeping the floor and backing dry. A simpler, smaller mat may be more practical where space is limited, this one makes more sense when comfort underfoot and a longer coverage area are the main reasons for buying.
