## Description

For a commute, study session, or workout, Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds S2TAW give you wireless in-ear listening with sound isolation and touch controls. Bluetooth 5.1 connects them to compatible devices, while the built-in microphone supports calls when you want to switch from audio to conversation.

Their compact in-ear design pairs with a charging case for up to 20 hours of total battery life, making them easy to keep on hand through a day of listening.

## Worth noting
The battery provides up to 8 hours in the earbuds, with an additional 12 hours available from the charging case. When you need a quick top-up, a 10-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of listening. The case takes 2 hours to charge.

Three preset EQ modes—Music, Movie, and Podcast—let you choose a sound setting for what you’re listening to. Tap either earbud four times to change modes. Touch controls also handle volume, calls, and your device’s local voice assistant, so common functions are accessible from the earbuds.

The IPX4 rating makes these earbuds suited to sweaty workouts and wet-weather use. Their construction uses 50% renewable plastics, and the packaging is recyclable. The in-ear fit and passive sound isolation offer a different approach from open-style earbuds, helping keep listening more focused in everyday settings without adding a separate noise-canceling feature.

## Best use cases
Use them for music or podcasts on a commute, audio while studying, or calls during a busy day. They’re also designed for sports and exercise, with the IPX4 rating providing resistance to sweat and water. Bluetooth connectivity supports cell phones, laptops, desktops, gaming consoles, and smart watches, making them useful across different listening routines.

The touch controls are practical when your phone is tucked away: adjust volume, manage calls, switch EQ presets, or activate your device’s local voice assistant from an earbud. For a change of pace, select Movie mode for video or Podcast mode for spoken audio, Music mode is available for everyday listening.

## Everyday use
Smokin’ Buds are a straightforward wireless alternative to wired earbuds, with no headphone jack required. The charging case helps extend listening beyond the earbuds’ own battery, while the built-in microphone supports hands-free calls. In a work or study routine, you can use them for a podcast or music, then tap to take a call without changing your setup.

Buyers often praise the clear sound and describe the earbuds positively for overall quality. Feedback is more varied on fit, battery life, connectivity, and reliability, so experiences differ across those aspects. The listed one-year manufacturer warranty is included for added purchase support.

## Is it worth it?
A solid pick if you want wireless in-ear earbuds with sound isolation, a microphone, touch controls, and up to 20 hours of battery life including the case. The three EQ presets add flexibility for music, movies, and podcasts, while the IPX4 rating suits everyday exercise and damp conditions. Choose Smokin’ Buds for a versatile listening set that can move between commuting, studying, calls, and workouts.
